    Always keep paracord...

SKD ordering process and shipping was extremely fast! My particular use case: Recently ripped a strap on a pack attachment, had to secure with 550 paracord having no other option available. Secured 30lbs nice and tight for 60 plus hours. Stay safe.

    The only multi use cord.

Milspec US made 550 paracord is great stuff. The 550 indicates that it has a breaking strain of 550 pounds, which is pretty strong cord. I keep a long length in my pack which I can use as a clothes line, tie up a shelter or as an emergency boot lace. Other uses are lanyards for knives, tools, compasses, GPS’s flashlights etc. The cord I purchased has 7 inner yarns which can be easily drawn out to for other purposes like emergency stitching for torn clothing webbing, whipping ends of rope or survival fishing line. The 100 yard length does not weigh much and goes unnoticed in your pack or vehicle but is there when you need it. When using as a boot lace or ends of zippers, burn the ends so they won’t fray. I googled various uses and lanyard making, there are a lot of great ideas out there.
