Had an instructor who was formerly with Green Berets, and was testing FIREClean for the company and had more than 2000 rounds through his carbine and hasn't cleaned it since he put the FIREClean on, and hasn't had a single malfunction.
I got this stuff on sale during the ninja sale or whatever..lol... i had to pull the trigger on this stuff as i tried it from my best friend...he strongly suggested use of fireclean, along with none other than Larry Vickers! Read and FOLLOW the instructions before use as this stuff conditions like nothin ive ever used..and i have zlot of cleaning and lubrication products...i was amazed how much carbon just kept coming of what i thought were clean parts....even stubborn areas this stuff attacks it..just remember to FOLLOW DIRECTIONS! this stuff reigns supreme!
before I say anything about FireClean i will add that SKD is a TOP NOTCH STORE! I didn't get paid to say that i am not a paid reviewer and They go above and beyond helping customers. As for FireClean so Far so Good. Weapons seem to be good. The big test is going to be when I clean my Silencerco Sparrow. If that baby is easy to clean I will praise the heck out of the stuff.
Makes cleanup a breeze and lubes awesome as well.
Haven't had a chance to shoot after cleaning and conditioning with it. But this stuff really does clean up the carbon. Action sounds and feels slicker. I really like that it doesn't smell. I'll be buying more. Wish they could put it in a bottle that would fit in something like a Magpul grip, more oval than round.
I've used all kinds of different products in the past. Now I have a new favorite.
If you have not tried FIREClean, you are absolutely missing the boat. This stuff is better than anything I've used from motor oil, special grease, white type lube, big name brands and even other bio friendly cleaners. Guns run smoother, cleaner and longer. All it takes to clean is a wipe down and reapply the FC. I added some to old gummy .22lr guns and my brother's Enfield and the bolt functions like it's on bearings. One thing I love is that a little goes a long way. I thought 2oz wouldn't last long but even using it for weekly range trips, personal and client guns, I got nearly four months out of the bottle. Put FIREClean in needle oiler bottles and it'll be handy to work with and last longer.
I'll admit, despite all the praise I had heard about FIREClean, I was still a little skeptical. After buying a bottle and using it on my patrol rifle, I'm now convinced. The product has done everything it claims to do, and then some!
I liked Frog Lube. I love FIREClean. Buy it and compare it to your current lubricant.
