PWS CQB Comp, 5.56 Flash Suppressing Compensator

The CQB Comp, originally designed as part of the MK107 Rifle, provides as much compensation as possible while suppressing flash and sending all the blast forward of the shooter and those next to the shooter.

The CQB Comp features a 2 part design with a removable end cap for ease of cleaning. The primary function is to send all the blast forward while suppressing as much flash as possible. This product in no way compensates the weapon to the level of the FSC556 or our other comps, but it does serve the needs of those that requested its development.

*For use on weapons that have a bullet diameter equal to or less than .223/5.56 and threaded 1/2x28 RH.

  • Diameter: 1.375"
  • Thread Pitch: 1/2x28 RH
  • Weight: 7.6 oz

    Great Product

Posted by Michael Lampl on 4th Apr 2019

I have only shot my AR twice since getting this flash compensator and the people shooting on either side of me at the range were impressed how it directed the sound down range vs. a standard birdcage muzzle break. I highly recommend it.

    Excellent service

I was trying to buy my muzzle originally from another website, and they said they had my product in stock. come to find out they didn't have it and they still took my money. SKD Tactical promised that they had my item in stock, with a money back guaranteed. No hassle!

    No More Dirty Looks

Posted by Paul G. on 8th Oct 2015

I tried the PWS CQB Comp last week on my SBR. With all of the previous comps I tried (A2 birdcage, Battlecomp 2.0 and Lantec), I would get "looks" when shooting at the covered range. The concussion blast would shoot out sideways on these comps and thus the dirty looks. This new comp sent it forward as described and no one gave me the look. Thanks to the other reviews, because they helped me make my decision to purchase this comp.

Works well. Think would be better if I didn't have a piston system.

    Very Surprised

Posted by Shane on 22nd Jan 2014

Installed this comp on a 7.5" AR Pistol (.223/5.56). I did not have high expectations only high hopes that this comp would calm the concussive blast the 7.5" barrels are known for. This comp does what it claims and more in my opinion. Seems quieter than an A2 birdcage all around. Ran it in very tight quarters in shoot house and my teammates never batted an eye or gave me ugly looks (we've banned multiple SBR dudes from running theirs due to the comp of their choice doing the team bad....hard to be on your game throughout a structure when you get slapped by some of these "freak show" compensators out there that only look cool but do little to nothing for CQB/real world team situations).

This comp works as advertised. The description on the product page is as accurate as it gets. If you have a pistol or SBR,buy it. You won't be disappointed.

Good for CQB but harsh recoil

Posted by Unknown on 11th Nov 2011

I've got one on my PWS MK1 pistol AR. With a 7" barrel, this *pistol* is loud! Recoil/muzzle rise is harsh compared to my JP carbine. Add in my lack of a stock and it's a bit tough for follow-up shots. If you are doing mostly CQB with a team, get this comp. If accurate follow-up shots past 40yds are critical, I'd go for the PWS 556 non-CQB comp. Quality construction on these. 5 stars since it does exactly what it's designed to do.
