SKD Armor Soft Armor Plate Backer (IIIA), 10" x 12"

SKD ARMOR is now offering Plate Backers in our Certified NIJ IIIA Armor package (NIJ 0101.06). Sized to fit exactly behind 10" x 12" plate, these first quality Made in USA backers are heat sealed in waterproof carriers. Designed for use as backers for In-Conjunction With (ICW) Plates.
These backers are sized to fit most ICW 10x12 Plates on the market. SKD Armor 10x12 Plates are stand-alone plates, and have a different size and taper.

    Hopefully never used... plate backers

    I bought these to make a plate set LVL4. Hopefully the set-up is never tested. I chose this product over other options b/c they are waterproof.

    There are many plate backers, but this one is mine. It fits perfectly behind by SAPI plate. Good service and quick shipping.

    Rather recently I bought two of these rather than trauma pads for my issued PC and SAPIs. They’ve survived one thrashing in the field. They seem to be excellent quality for the low price point!

    Fit-Finish

    Finish- Received these and noticed they were preformed to fit the curve of sapi plates, sweet right? Then after checking the label for the "front towards enemy" side, i realized they were not preformed. They were just curved the wrong way. Anybody who has experience with soft body armor knows it does not like to be bent in the opposite direction of its set form. Fit- I have the Tyr Tactical Pico Assaulters carrier. These backers are quite a bit wider then the pocket and plates. I have Medium carrier/plates which these should be good for. After some massaging I got them to fit but not without a few f-bombs along the way. Armor Quality- No clue, and don't want to find out.
