Body Armor Policy (Rev. 04/22)


Persons convicted of a violent felony are prohibited by Federal Law from purchasing or possessing body armor.  

Other legal restrictions are in place in various states that prohibit certain felons from purchasing or possessing body armor.  

The state of Connecticut only allows the online sale of body armor to:

1. authorized officials or sworn members of local police departments, the State Police, the Division of Criminal Justice, the Department of Correction, or the Board or Pardons or Parole;
2. authorized municipal or Department of Administrative Services’ officials who buy body armor for the above agencies;
3. authorized Judicial Branch officials who buy body armor for probation officers; and
4. members of the National Guard or armed forces (CGS § 53-341b).

The state of New York will only allow the sale of body armor to Law Enforcement or Military personnel.

By purchasing body armor from SKD Tactical, you certify that:

  1. You are a US citizen.
  2. Have no felony convictions.
  3. You have not been convicted of any other crime that would restrict your ability to purchase or possess body armor under any Federal or State law.
  4. You do not intend to use the body armor for any criminal purpose.
  5. You are over 18 years old.  

SKD Tactical assumes no responsibility for body armor purchases made in violation of any federal, state or local laws.  

SKD Tactical reserves the right to refuse to sell body armor to any person for any reason.  

SKD Tactical adheres to a strict US-48 states-only shipping policy on body armor (NO exports, US territories or APO/FPO).  

You must email us a copy of your State-issued Driver’s License or ID with the name and address that matches the shipping address on your order, or your LEO ID with your agency address as the shipping address (include your order number in the email).
