ATS Low Profile Medical Insert

The Low Profile Medical Insert is designed to work specifically with our Low Profile Chest Harness, but it will work with almost any small pouch including our Small Utility Pouch. It is a simple clam shell design that will hold just enough medical kit to treat severe trauma wounds.

A red pull handle and securing strap help to designate the insert as carrying life saving supplies. As with all of our products the Low Profile Medical Insert is made in the USA of the highest quality mil-spec materials.

Dimensions: 7.25" x 3" x 2.5"

    Good

Good pouch... Tight fit to get all IFAK contents in, but definitely good for majority! Cool design on loops, but my only wish would be for a couple of smaller loops inside. Red outer handle makes for easy access in a pinch. This fits in a number of pouches , tight in a double mag ... But it will go. Thanks to ATS and SKD

    Gear review

Posted by Colin on 15th Jun 2011

I've been using this item for about 3 months now, and I absolutley love it. It took me some getting used to before i was proficient in getting to it and the supplies inside quickly but thats true with any new piece of gear. After practicing with it I realized how much more effective it is over a standard med kit with supplies retained inside a mounted pouch. I use it to carry all your basic blow-out kit items and with some "coaxing" was able to fit the contents of an issued IFAK inside. I carry this inside a verticle Tactical Tailor GP pouch with the handle stowed inside the zipper when not in use, or exposed to speed deployment when use might be required. This is an excellent system I'd recommend to anyone I'd want to see survive.

    Good kit for its purpose

While this didn't fit into the US Peacekeeper double mag pouches I probably filled it past capacity. It now resides in the inside pocket and holds a 6" Izzy and a Oales along with Gauze, tape, scissors and gloves. I would recommend as a clean way to grab necessary med supplies from any bag or pouch.

    Great Addition

Posted by Brandon on 10th Sep 2010

I wanted a low profile and narrow pouch on my kit for my trauma supplies. I mananged some how to jam my whole IFAK plus in this thing. It fits perfect in the cumberbun pouch that is integrated into my plate carrier. It also fits in a 2 up mag pouch. The red pull tab type handle makes it ready visible to your buddy too. Great little piece of gear. Im going to get a few more to incorporate on to my packs.

    Medical Insert

This is a very simple but well thought out design. The insert allows quick access to your much needed medical supplies, without having to dig around in a pocket/pouch. The insert is well made. Thanks to SKD for carrying another piece of great kit.

Adds essential organization to trauma gear!

    Posted by Kutter_0311 on 3rd Jul 2010

I could think of one or two improvements for the ATS Low Profile Medical Insert, but overall it allows much needed organization and access to my trauma gear. I keep an Israeli battle dressing, SWAT tourniquet, QuikClot, Asherman Chest Seal, and other gear in the insert, on the front of my armor carrier, inside a triple mag pouch. The insert pulls out quickly with either hand, and I have immediate access to my vital trauma gear. Unlike a fixed pouch, that can't readily be accessed while wounded and under fire, the insert carries all your lifesaving gear in a way that allows you to use it without having to remove your armor or dump out the contents of the pouch to find what you need. I would add a strap on each end from the backing to the middle of the first loop, to 'close' the end, and maybe some tighter inside loops to hold smaller items.
