ATS MBITR Tip Out Radio Pouch
The ATS Tip Out Radio Pouch is the first big improvement in MBITR pouches in quite a while. This design came to us through an 18E friend of ATS who found a better way through years of experience. The thing that makes this pouch so different is that releasing the ITW/Nexus Surface Mount buckle on the face allows the radio to tip away from the rig it's attached to in order to make programming changes a breeze.
The radio is oriented with the programming pad facing in which is then exposed to the user when the radio is tipped away from the pouch. One hand holds the radio, the other programs it, and the radio is tipped back up into position with the Surface Mount buckle clipped closed. The radio is held by a separate pocket with a band of one inch Cordura around the top.
The pouch measures about 7.5" tall, about 3" wide and about 2" deep. It attaches to your gear with two MOLLE compatible L-Straps, and uses two channels and six rows of MOLLE space.
Like all ATS brand gear, it is made in the USA and covered by a lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects in material and workmanship.

Just the tip and never pullout.
I use to always pullout; and that's a waste of time, energy, and its a hastle. I can now leave my radio in and easily just tip it out while retaining it.

Good radio pouch
The radio pouch is good quality and will handle the Harris falcon III fine. Fast delivery after the company returned from their training week. Wasn’t clear there would be a delay, but they were responsive to my email. Great company!

Finally my MBITR won't fall out of mag pouch
MBITR radios are the bane of my existence. I used to use an extra mag pouch to hold it but got sick of it falling out during training. I like that there are MOLLE straps and not MALICE straps (hate those more than MBITRs) and that the radio face is not covered by clear plastic like another similar pouch.

Only for large Radios
It did not fit any of my radios. If your radio is large enough this pouch might work for you. However, I'm not sure how secure it would be. Overall did not seem like it could hold any size radio tightly.

Great radio pouch.
I wear this pouch on my duty belt. Makes channel checking and frequency maintenance a breeze. Velco could secure better on its own but when everything is clipped in its a solid pouch!

Tip-Out Pouch
This pouch has worked very well for me. The velcro at the top seems a little frivolous since it won't hold up the weight of the MBITR by itself, but I suppose it contributes to alignment. The snap secures the radio just fine and the whole pouch seems plenty tough. I don't know if some weight on top of the radio might compromise its security, but it would have to be significant weight or a fairly rough snag I'm sure.

Disappointed
Used this pouch for my MBITR for a part of a work up and deployment with Force Reconnaissance and I was not happy with it. The bungee was not tight enough to hold the radio tight to my kit while running and the velcro on the pouch came slightly melted on the sides making it so it wouldn't stick. do not recommend this pouch for military usage.
