ATS Medical Pouch- Small

The ATS Medical Pouch-Small is an advanced design that exceeds the current standard for individual first aid kits. When seconds count, standard trauma equipment can be difficult to access because most pouches stays attached to the vest or pack of the casualty. The most revolutionary feature of our Medical Pouch Small is that it can be instantly removed from its MOLLE compatible backing platform and then used independently as the situation dictates. This means that you don't have to roll the casualty around in the dirt or dump the contents of the pouch out to go to work on him. The difference could be life itself!

The pouch is arranged as a "clam-shell" zippered design with elastic webbing on the interior in order to organize the trauma supplies in a consistent fashion. There's also has an interior slot pocket for smaller items. The ATS Medical Pouch Small will fit everything in the issue IFAK and more.

The pouch features a red pull/carry handle to help designate the contents within as life saving equipment. The handle can be completely stowed between the pouch and the MOLLE backing panel when its not in use.

It's features are rounded out by a cord loop for tie-downs and a drainage grommet. It can be attached to any MOLLE compatible system using our patent-pending L-Strap attachment system. The pouch measures about 7 inches tall, 4½ inches wide and expands to about 5 inches deep, depending on how much is packed in it. It uses 3 channels and 6 rows of MOLLE space. The Medical Pouch Small weighs about 9 ounces empty, due to its 500 denier Cordura construction.

As with the rest of the ATS Tactical Gear line, the World's Greatest Medical Pouch is made entirely in the USA of the highest quality components and is backed by a lifetime guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship.

All the features you should want

Posted by William on 14th Aug 2012

This pouch is the only one I found that had the the combination of features I was looking for-- It holds the supplies I want, tears away from its MOLLE backing, and has velcro loops to mark its contents and my blood type. Great piece of kit.

    Good solution

We carried a simple E&E type pouch for several years on our plate carriers. They had not internal organization and were attached by molle. The "tear out" design was the big selling point for me originally, but after having one in service for a couple of years, the internal organization is a nice bonus. The pouch has held up to moderate levels of training without any real sign of wear. This is THE med pouch I recommend to others.

Fantastic product w/ many great features

One terrific but not advertised feature of this pouch is the 4" L x 2" W hook-and-loop panel at the top of the pouch (facing up). I went to Milspec Monkey and bought a 2" square "medical cross" patch, a 2" x 1" "NKDA" patch, and a 2" x 1" blood type patch, and it fits that panel like a glove. I'd recommend this pouch to everyone!

I cant think of anything it could do better. Inside I fit: HALO seal, Quikclot gauze, 2x Zpak gauze, 1x Israeli, 5.5" shears, tape, and an ace bandage.

    Perfect!

Posted by Unknown on 28th May 2012

This pouch is the perfect size for an IFAK. I was afraid it would be too small but that is not the case. I was able to pack in two packages of QuickClot Z-packed guaze, a chest seal, a 4" Israeli pressure bandage, additional packing guaze, roll of tape, Sharpie, gloves, a small ziplock containing various pain medications, antibacterial wipes, bandaids, ointments and burn gel. Everything fit like it was made for it. I don't keep my tourniquets in the IFAK as I want to have immediate access to them. I have one CAT tourniquet folded in half with half under the top flap of the pouch and the other half over the top. The velcro on the top flap keeps it secure. There is room if you prefer to put it inside the pouch. A pair of shears fits perfectly behind the pouch. Overall, excellent piece of gear and worth every penny!

    Great Bag

Very well made, stout, solid, compact. Easy on and off and I would guess a zero percent chance that it would pull off accidentally. Good space inside, although I always prefer a sleeve type pouch inside the front and back, with the elastic straps on top of those. There is one small pouch type pocket and I was able to pack a lot of medical gear in there. I would highly recommend this pouch.

    Good pouch, well laid out

I really like the size and the ability to detach the pouch when needed, but the buckle will hold it very securely the rest of the time.
