Exactly what I was looking for

Posted by william reed on 21st Sep 2010

If you are looking for a no-nonsense, light, non-gear-gathering chest rig for either classes or low profile use, look no further than this rig. Its no-nonsense design provides excellent retention, and ease of use for your mags. The simple design makes this ideal for carrying all day, putting under a loose shirt or jacket, and, best of all, doesnt interfere with driving. No attachment points means that it does exactly what you want it to do; carry magazines. Not have other shit find its way to your rig, ultimately weighing you down & getting in the way. Simple design, excellent build materials, and highly recommended!

    Low profile and lightweight

This rig is very low profile and lightweight. The elastic seems very durable and I haven't had any problems with it stretching out yet. I'm not worried about it because Blue Force has great customer service and I'm sure they will make it right should anything happen. The elastic keeps mags very secure, but mags can still be quickly removed for reloads etc. I agree with Rocco about the pouch on the inside of the rig. It is located in the same place as "map" pouches on Eagle rigs, but the material tends not to lie flat and there is not velcro or any means to seal the pocket shut. Maps or small items might fall out during "dynamic" movement. It is a small nitpick though. If you want a lighweight, low profile, quality chest rig that you can conceal with the right clothing, this is it.

    Overall an effective rig

Posted by Rocco Volpe on 21st Jun 2010

This rig is perfect for someone looking for a chest rig that is simple, light, comfortable, low profile, and effective. Its 6 built in pouches will retain an AR-15 magazine in all conditions except when the rig is violently shaken upside down (which hopefully would never occur during an operation). The H-harness distributes the weight of the rig so well that when fully loaded with 6 AR mags you may just forget you are wearing it if you are used to heavier setups. The utility pouch in the rear has no retention unless the rig is flush to your body, which in my opinion is the only flaw as I am not confident in its ability to retain mission essentials in comparison to the elastic pouches on the front. Despite that, this rig is perfect for missions where concealment is necessary and it can certainly be utilized over body armor and if supplemented with a battle belt it could make an effective fighting load as well.

    Very versatile product

I bought this to use as a carry platform under a button down shirt or jacket. I needed something to hold a radio and other small items while working u/c. It lays super flat and the pouches will hold anything you can stuff in them. It doesn't "print" as much as I thought it might on the back harness. Overall a great product and you cant beat SKD's super fast shipping! Thanks again SKD!!
