Blue Force Gear Ten-Speed Triple M4 Mag Pouch with Helium Whisper Backing

Introducing Blue Force Gear's Project Helium Whisper. This patent pending load carriage system offers the lightest configuration in existence. Blue Force Gear has been continuously shaving ounces off legacy items and has come up with what they believe to be the lightest load carriage possible. The secret to Blue Force Gear's patent pending technology is their one-piece back panels. The material used to form their new MOLLE attachment system is a highly durable laminate that has been cut to exacting tolerances. CAD programming and CNC laser cutting ensures tolerances to within a thousandth of an inch.

  • Increased flexibility allows use of undersized/mis-sewn MOLLE channels.
  • Integral horizontal and vertical straps improve strength, reduce assembly steps and eliminate strap alignment.
  • Extremely lightweight but highly durable material.
  • Laser marking are applied on backing during the cutting process eliminating the need for separate labels.
  • Patent pending single piece backing.

The Ten-Speed Mag Pouch works from the premise that a magazine pouch should have excellent, consistent retention without a lot of securing straps, lids, or flaps to get in the way of a smooth, consistent reload. When not in use, the pouch is designed to lay flat against your vest or carrier so that it is completely discrete and unobtrusive. Primarily intended for personnel performing fast, short duration operations where speed and a low profile are paramount.

Due to the use of high performance materials, the Ten Speed Pouch is also extremely lightweight registering less than 1.5 ounces on the scale. Not limited to magazines, it will also securely hold some types of Flash Bangs, Strobes, Lights, etc. Attaching to any MOLLE/PALS surface, its use is only limited by your imagination.

The Blue Force Gear Ten Speed Pouch is made out of military-grade heavy duty elastic and Cordura fabric/webbing right here in Georgia. (Magazines not included)

    BFG Ten-Speed triple mag pouch

Posted by Unknown on 4th May 2012

This pouch is perfect if you're looking for a secure way of holding 3 M4 mags yet want to be able to access them rapidly. Very light weight, and low-profile, esp once the pouches are empty. Despite being well made of excellent materials, I only gave it 4 out of 5 stars because of the inherent nature of the elestic it can't be as durable as normal nylon pouches, (I wouldn't put this on the front of my vest if I was expecting a lot of low-crawling)but for what it is it's hard to beat, love this pouch...

    Solid piece of gear.

I use this pouch stacked on a 3-mag shingle on my Tactical Tailor 2-piece MAV. So far, it has been a good addition to my kit. I don't use it professionally in any way, but I've done some running and gunning with it and it has held up nicely. So far, it works great for speedloads and quick mag changes, but I wouldn't use it for tactical reloads, though with practice I'm sure I could get the hang of it. The only issue I have is the way it fastens and the molle strap itself. The strap is quite a bit thinner and more flexible than other molle pouches I've encountered. The fastener is also velcro/hook-and-loop as opposed to a snap. I was a bit leery of this at first, but I figured out how to fasten it properly, and now I'm confident that it will hold up decently. All in all, I'm very satisfied with my purchase. I took a star off because overall I feel the construction isn't quite as durable as it could be, but performance-wise it is right on.

    Works but not ideal.

Pros: Mags are secure very thing, very light. Cons: Elastic material appears white when mag is inside, which is very noticable. Shrubbery and brush get caught on elastic and can destroy the material by over strecthing it and ripping it. Can not reinsert mag without 2 hands, you can do it with 1 hand if you really try but can't be done quickly.

    Excellent!

Simply great. Holds your mags efficiently, however can be a little difficult at first to push them all the way in.

    Seems good to go

Compared to the ATS triple shingle, this seems much friendlier on the draws. Lightweight, good retention, and easy to use. Only reason I wouldn't use it for a big rig is that I'm not entirely sure how it would hold magazines in rough and tumble conditions with lotsa other gear strapped to you. I'll hafta see. For a simple chest rig deal where it's one of your only pouches and is easy to keep track of, though, I'd definitely recommend this item.

    Unsure about long-term durability

Posted by Jeff on 13th Jan 2012

This product was really thin and light. After a few times sliding magazines in and out to check it out, some wear and a couple snags could be seen on the outside of the elastic. I have not range tested this yet, but I'm not sure how long this mag pouch will hold up to rough use. For a light weight kit that stays packed up, it seems like good kit.
