Blue Force Gear VCAS Padded Sling (OA Model)

The Vickers Combat Application Sling has revolutionized the way we carry automatic rifles. Developed with good friend and former 1st SFOD- Delta operational member and firearms expert Larry Vickers, the Vickers Combat Application Sling incorporates key features from real world experience that makes it so unique, effective, and the choice sling requested by name.

The Vickers Combat Applications Sling has been Blue Force Gear's most popular product of all- with service in every branch of service. The Vickers Combat Application Sling features the patent pending Quick Adjuster. Able to quickly transition from carrying a slung rifle comfortably to combat ready, the Quick Adjust has bridged the gap between the two primary uses of weapon slings from transporting to fighting. All VCAS Slings are built with precision and pride right here at home in the US with superior materials:

  • TEX 90 bonded nylon thread never had a sling returned for stitching failure.
  • Invista Solution Dyed Cordura® webbing low IR, soft enough for comfort, stiff enough to prevent rolling and hardening.
  • ITW Acetal Hardware Ghillie-Tex low IR military grade plastic reduces noise and weight (In Original Acetal "OA" Models).
  • Different colored adjustment pull tab stands out enough for quick adjustment but still blends in.

Features a 2" tubular padded webbing for additional comfort. To keep costs down and allow further customization, no attachment hardware is included but can still be threaded through existing slings loops. This sling combined with any variation of different attachment from BFG's Sling Hardware section attaches to almost any weapon. The OA model has all Acetal hardware - a low IR, quieter military grade plastic.

The OM model has all metal hardware for extreme durability and heat resistance. As with all Blue Force Gear, it is made with excellence in the USA and carries a limited lifetime warranty.

    Nice sling

Since I haven't used this sling very long, I can't speak about how it'll hold up, but it does seem to be made well, is comfortable, , and easy to adjust. Not as "slick" as Magpul's slings, which is neither good nor bad. We'll see how it works and holds up in the future.

Excellent 2 point for heavier rifles

This is probably the best full size rifle sling available on the market for long periods of carrying it around. The quick adjustment of length is not going to adjust itself, and is more easily accessed than the Magpul slings with a similar feature. Only con I have is no quick detach, but somehow I think the durability or comfort may be compromised.

This is my third VCAS but my first one in MultiCam. Looks great and blends well on my gear.

    VCAS Sling

Posted by Mike Graham on 2nd Jun 2014

The sling is all it was advertised to be, didn't order an a adapter to mount it to the front sling mount on my M4, so. Iwent old school with some 550 cord I had laying around, this will work until I free float the hand guards.

    Great sling

Really nice padded sling. Have been using VTAC or Ares Armor, and I like the deliberate action of the slider on the VCAS. The texture of the sling promotes static placement of all hardware. Looks good too!

Best 2 point sling on the market

    Posted by SuperSix8 on 17th Jan 2014

I have this sling on all my rifles. I own 5 of them...that should tell you something. I noticed that the quick release buckle at the butt stock is no longer included however. You have to pay for that separately. If you have the sling attached via QD sling swivels or the like it won't matter, however.

Bought for my son who is a Marine. He asked for it by name and it does the job.
