Blue Force Gear VCAS Padded Sling (OA Model)

The Vickers Combat Application Sling has revolutionized the way we carry automatic rifles. Developed with good friend and former 1st SFOD- Delta operational member and firearms expert Larry Vickers, the Vickers Combat Application Sling incorporates key features from real world experience that makes it so unique, effective, and the choice sling requested by name.

The Vickers Combat Applications Sling has been Blue Force Gear's most popular product of all- with service in every branch of service. The Vickers Combat Application Sling features the patent pending Quick Adjuster. Able to quickly transition from carrying a slung rifle comfortably to combat ready, the Quick Adjust has bridged the gap between the two primary uses of weapon slings from transporting to fighting. All VCAS Slings are built with precision and pride right here at home in the US with superior materials:

  • TEX 90 bonded nylon thread never had a sling returned for stitching failure.
  • Invista Solution Dyed Cordura® webbing low IR, soft enough for comfort, stiff enough to prevent rolling and hardening.
  • ITW Acetal Hardware Ghillie-Tex low IR military grade plastic reduces noise and weight (In Original Acetal "OA" Models).
  • Different colored adjustment pull tab stands out enough for quick adjustment but still blends in.

Features a 2" tubular padded webbing for additional comfort. To keep costs down and allow further customization, no attachment hardware is included but can still be threaded through existing slings loops. This sling combined with any variation of different attachment from BFG's Sling Hardware section attaches to almost any weapon. The OA model has all Acetal hardware - a low IR, quieter military grade plastic.

The OM model has all metal hardware for extreme durability and heat resistance. As with all Blue Force Gear, it is made with excellence in the USA and carries a limited lifetime warranty.

I wanted to write a sonnet

But instead you get a haiku. Padded VCAS Sling Useful, durable, and wide. I like Multicam. The Blue Force Gear VCAS sling was the next step in my transition to more comprehensive equipment that offers comfort and utility. An upgrade from my prior VCAS unpadded sling, BFG delivers excellent build quality again with thorough stitch-work and reliable design.

    A near-perfect design...

This is the best 2-point sling I have tried, bar none. After years of using the very good VTAC sling, I was hesitant to try something different, but I'm glad I did. The VCAS's adjustable slider is not QUITE as smooth as the VTAC, but that's because the material is much more robust, and there are no "tails" to tangle on your gear. The padded version adds a great deal of comfort for extended carry without really being in the way, and that's a huge plus, as well. Overall, I couldn't be happier with this sling. I now have one for all my rifles.

Best sling on the market, hands down.

I've tried every sling. Every possible configuration. I actually had bought one of these a few years ago and thought I did not like it. I ended up trading it. Fast forward to now. I bought another one a few months ago after being fed up with my other sling I thought was "the best". With armor, without, strong/weak side - this sling does it all, without a flapping tail to snag up in your kit or trip you. Train with LAV and you'll realize why his design is the best, because this guy KNOWS what he is talking about. Don't hesitate just buy this thing and USE IT and TRAIN with it, then you will know.

    Very Comfortable!

Coming from a Magpul MS2, I can tell you the BFG VCAS AA Padded Sling is MUCH more comfortable than the MS2. However, I liked the 2 to 1 point configuration that the MS2 gave. So, I modded the VCAS sling to function the same as the MS2 and now I have the best of both worlds! Even in its original form, the VCAS is very comfortable, user friendly and durable. What you do to mod it after the fact is up to you, but I highly recommend this sling!

    BFG VCAS Padded Sling

I have already used the BFG Vickers gun sling for some time now and found it to be the best sling for the job. So it made sense to give the smaller VCAS sling a go. I used it on my m4 for a recent tour to the ghan and found it exceptionally comfortable and user friendly through a range of conditions. Initially I was concerned that the multicam color was a bit off looking, however after actually attaching it and using it with multicam items it actually blends quite well. Overall I am very happy with this sling

    My new favorite sling...

I bought the VCAS Padded AA Model Sling partly out of curiosity, because I was pretty happy with my VTAC padded sling. I tried them side by side, and now I use the VCAS as my primary. It lacks the annoying little cord used on the VTAC for loosening the sling, just one simple tab does it all on the VCAS. That same tab is easy to locate and manipulate with a gloved hand. The padding is sufficient without being too thick and the stitching is solid. All of the hardware on it complements the rest of the sling, and its easy to loosen it quickly to get into an unorthodox shooting position when needed. I'm currently using it on a Magpul CTR stock. If it ever wears out (doubtful...), I'll get another VCAS again. Highly recommended.

    This Sling is GTG

This is probably the BEST 2 pt sling on the market. The padding is just right, not too thick. I have not had any issue with it rubbing my neck raw. Great Product

Best 2 point sling on the market.

Posted by Unknown on 20th Sep 2010

After using the VCAS standard sling in FDE on several rifles, I thought that I had found the perfect sling. The only two issues that I had with the standard VCAS was the metal adjuster clanging into my rail systems and the webbing digging into my neck. I was about to make a cover for the slider and find some sort of padding to attach to the sling, when the padded AA model VCAS was released. I immediately purchased one and have found the changes perfect. The composite slider is durable, lighter and quieter when it comes into contact with my gear or rail system. The padding is perfectly sized and no longer digs into my neck. Overall, the Padded AA model is what the VCAS should have been all along. Also, the FDE color matches my FDE gear and also goes well with Multicam. The padded VCAS AA is now the best 2 point sling on the market and is what I use with all of my tactical rifles.

    Super quality, Super comfort.

I've needed a sling for my FN-FAL for many years, and upon a recommendation from a colleague I gave this sling a go. I was immediately impressed by the sling's simplicity, ease of installation, and the worn-in feel of the fabric (not stiff like many are). I'm now able to keep my FAL close to my body, and in relaxed situations rotate it to my back without issue. It moves well, fits right, and is priced as a good sling should be. One of the best out there, hands down.
