Blue Force Gear VCAS Sling (OA Model)

The Vickers Combat Application Sling has revolutionized the way we carry automatic rifles. Developed with former 1st SFOD- Delta operational member and firearms expert Larry Vickers, the Vickers Combat Application Sling incorporates key features from real world experience that makes it so unique, effetive, and the choice sling requested by name. The Vickers Combat Applications Sling has been BFG's most popular product of all- with service in every branch of service here at home as well as several foreign militaries.

The Vickers Combat Application Sling features the patent pending Quick Adjuster. Able to quickly transition from carrying a slung rifle comfortably to combat ready, the Quick Adjust has bridged the gap between the two primary uses of weapon slings  from transporting to fighting. All VCAS Slings are built with precision and pride right here at home in the US with superior materials:

  • TEX 90 bonded nylon thread  never had a sling returned for stitching failure
  • Invista Solution Dyed Cordura® webbing  low IR, soft enough for comfort, stiff enough to prevent rolling and hardening.
  • ITW Acetal Hardware  Ghillie-Tex low IR military grade plastic reduces noise and weight ( In Original Acetal "OA" Models)
  • Different colored adjustment pull tab stands out enough for quick adjustment but still blends in

To keep costs down and allow further customization, no attachment hardware is included but can still be threaded through existing slings loops. This sling combined with any variation of different attachment from our Sling Hardware section attaches to almost any weapon.

The OA model has all Acetal hardware - a low IR, quieter military grade plastic. The OM model has all metal hardware for extreme durability and heat resistance.

    VCAS for the win!

Blue Force Gear VCAS Sling (AA Model) This is the sling to get. The AA model does away with metal hardware that can scratch of cause injury. The two point design is proven, and does not hang up on kit like a three point, while remaining more secure than a single point for hands on work. I use this with full patrol gear and for general range work, and it's never let me down. The adjustment mechanism is simple and it works when I need it. Pros: Simple, easy to use and install Bomber construction Cons: None

    Best sling on the market

Posted by David Guyette on 18th Jun 2011

Having gone through over a dozen different types of slings both for work and personal use I am relieved to have found the VCAS. It is comfortable, durable, and the slide length adjustment is perfect for transitioning to carrying the weapon in gear or without, or to simply tighten it down behind your back. I have beat on it for an entire deployment and haven't been able to stain it, much less get it to start fraying. I ordered two more for my personal weapons, and I am sure that this one will stay on my issue weapon for several more deployments.

Better than any 3 point sling

Posted by christopher yap on 7th Sep 2010

I mounted my Blue Force Gear VCAS sling on my patrol rifle and it is more versitile than the 3 pointer I used in Iraq. I can loosen it up while clearing rooms and can rapidly tighten it take a mid-range shot. I can also sling it across my back and tighten it when I have to climb a fence or wall. I will definitely be pushing my department to purchase these for our Colt 6940s.

Can't go wrong with this sling

This is a great sling at a great price. I prefer a two-point sling for my ARs and there is, in my opinion, simply no better two-point sling than this. The adjustment strap works very smoothly and easily. Also, the non-padded version cinches up more tightly than the padded one, which works well for us smaller-frame guys. The straps are easily adjustable and trimmed for the perfect fit. Also, the non-padded version has a quick-release buckle that makes it easy to separate yourself from the rifle if need be.

Great Sling. Multicam for the WIN!

Posted by Robert Anderson on 23rd Jun 2010

Guys, I'm in the business, and take a lot of heat about running Multicam gear. Who CARES! The bottom line on these slings is: THEY ARE THE BEST money can buy. I have, literally, 4~5 slings for each rifle I won. I ONLY run BFG VCAS slings in my day-2-day life. Buy with confidence. These are THE best available at any prive.

    Awesome Sling!

Posted by Jimmie Cash on 28th Jan 2010

Excellent materials and workmanship. No tangly messy tails hanging around to get in the way on this sling. The Quick Adjust slides smooth and quick and yet stays tight and secure in place after adjustment. I abused one on my M4 in Iraq and experienced no failures of the webbing nor the plastic buckles/attachments. I highly recommend this sling!
