Esstac Shotgun Card

There is hook velcro sewn on the back of the shotgun cards. Made for 12gauge shotgun shells only. The "Add Sticky Back Loop Velcro for $1.50" option is a strip of industrial strength loop velcro with industrial strength adhesive. Choose this option if you would like to attach the shotgun card to your shotguns receiver. Please let the velcro adhere for 24 hours to let the adhesive take a set.

Esstac Shotgun card - Simple and fast. My jedi master showed me the true benefit of this simple shotgun reload. Slap some loop on your shotgun's left side. Load a few shotgun cards, and place one on the gun. You can fit the spares (back to back if it's a bigger pouch) in a single mag pouch. As you reload the shotgun, tear off the empty shotgun card, pull out a new one and slap it on. You're ready to slay even more zombies. Super easy, cheap when compared to other side saddles, and very, very fast. View More SKD Staff Picks

7 rounds of 12 gauge ammunition can be carried on the Esstac Shotgun Card, which is backed with hook. Put two of these back to back, and you have a 14-round bundle that fills up a double M4 magazine pouch. Line the side of your receiver with loop, and you have an ammo "side-saddle" system that you can replace in an instant- perfect for Law Enforcement use, whether it is for breaching or less-lethal rounds. The versatility of these Shotgun Cards will prove themselves many times over the more you use them!

Note from Stu @ Esstac about the elastic loop longevity:
"Shotty cards, treat them like a magazine. They will wear more quickly with use rather then just sitting loaded, they will lose some tension over time but that is normal for elastic, I have a couple ammo cans full of loaded shotgun cards and they are still GTG several years later."

Black, Coyote Brown, and RangerGreen is Mil Spec Elastic.

Muliticam color is printed Mil Spec Elastic.

    Esstac Shotgun card

I put it on my Mossberg 590A1 and have limited practice with it, hence only 4 stars. But it seems well made and works as designed. I had to cut it down to 6 rounds since I'm left handed and the length obstructed my trigger finger. Melted the edge and its good to go. The main reason I bought it was because I wanted to put the spare reload cards in my AR mag pouches or even a pocket. The versatility of this system is fantastic. The Esstac has, so far, lived up to the quality it is advertised as.

    Shotgun operator must have

Attach some loop velcro to your shotgun and you have yourself a quick detach side saddle shell carrier. Much more affordable than other shell carriers or side saddles. I would say more effective too. It takes a second to swap a new card onto your shotgun. Which means a new set of shells in working position in a flash. Only downside to the product is it doesn't come with the loop velcro for your shotgun. But its 4 bucks for a 1 yard roll so, not really a complaint. Great product. If you got a home defense or fighting shotgun. Get a bunch of these!

    On the ball

Ninja-quick shipping, SNUG holding elastic, and best of all too simple to fail. Prefer these to rigid/fixed saddles because it's easy on/off for whatever the situation may call for and I didn't permanently modify my gun or make my take-down any more complicated.

    Shotgun Card

This is one of the coolest things I've seen for a shotgun in a long time. Substantially cheaper than a traditional rigid side-saddle and infinitely more useful. Ammunition management is much simpler when you can simply rip off, discard, and replace the carrier instead of having to fumble with reloading both the magazine tube and a hard-plastic receiver-mounted system. It also beats having individual shell-carrier loops or a pouch full of loose shells.

    Love it So far

Posted by Daniel on 1st Jan 2015

I really love this concept. I have my shotgun set up for home defense, but I also take it out trap and skeet shooting and hunting, I just switch the barrels. With having the shotgun card being easily removable, and the velcro black on black, I can have a readily accessible conversion to a more tactically suited shotgun in less time than it takes me to type this review. Any other shotguns I buy from here on out will have Shotgun cards set up for it. My only concern, and I contemplated knocking it down a star, was the longevity of the velcro backing. Will it wear out like uniform name tapes? We will find out. I expect to be using these for a very long time. Also the shipping was amazing. Its hard enough to get things to alaska, but SKD got it here in under a week. They also added candy for halloween and some decals. Great job folks, you'll have my business next time I'm looking for tactical gear.

A great universal product, with the hook and loop adhesion you can mount and dismount this on anything. Mine shipped with frayed edges, but perhaps a more ridged yet flexible border/perimeter trim would prevent this. I did appreciate the "little extras" in the packaging too

    Great shell holder

Posted by Michael Myers on 1st Jan 2015

Amazing and fast shipping. Product was fair price, install was easy and product looks like it will hold up! Looks good on the gun too and seems better then the buttstock shell holders. The velcro makes it easy to put anywhere!

    Multicam shotgun side saddle

Posted by Anthony Madden JR on 1st Jan 2015

holds the shells really well, didnt fit on the side of my Mossberg 500 so i had to cut it (4 shells on 1 side, 2 shells on the other.) only way for it to work was to cut 1 of the holders so you get 2 mini saddles out of it. doesnt come with velcro backing to apply it, you have a get the backing yourself. other then that its good
