Esstac Shotgun Card

There is hook velcro sewn on the back of the shotgun cards. Made for 12gauge shotgun shells only. The "Add Sticky Back Loop Velcro for $1.50" option is a strip of industrial strength loop velcro with industrial strength adhesive. Choose this option if you would like to attach the shotgun card to your shotguns receiver. Please let the velcro adhere for 24 hours to let the adhesive take a set.

Esstac Shotgun card - Simple and fast. My jedi master showed me the true benefit of this simple shotgun reload. Slap some loop on your shotgun's left side. Load a few shotgun cards, and place one on the gun. You can fit the spares (back to back if it's a bigger pouch) in a single mag pouch. As you reload the shotgun, tear off the empty shotgun card, pull out a new one and slap it on. You're ready to slay even more zombies. Super easy, cheap when compared to other side saddles, and very, very fast. View More SKD Staff Picks

7 rounds of 12 gauge ammunition can be carried on the Esstac Shotgun Card, which is backed with hook. Put two of these back to back, and you have a 14-round bundle that fills up a double M4 magazine pouch. Line the side of your receiver with loop, and you have an ammo "side-saddle" system that you can replace in an instant- perfect for Law Enforcement use, whether it is for breaching or less-lethal rounds. The versatility of these Shotgun Cards will prove themselves many times over the more you use them!

Note from Stu @ Esstac about the elastic loop longevity:
"Shotty cards, treat them like a magazine. They will wear more quickly with use rather then just sitting loaded, they will lose some tension over time but that is normal for elastic, I have a couple ammo cans full of loaded shotgun cards and they are still GTG several years later."

Black, Coyote Brown, and RangerGreen is Mil Spec Elastic.

Muliticam color is printed Mil Spec Elastic.

    Love it!!!

I have been searching for a good shotgun shell carrier and a colleague recommended using this product. I ordered them and it was one of the best decisions. Great product, easy to use and with a low-fixed price shipping couldn't be happier.

    Just what was needed....

Posted by Happy Customer!! on 1st Jan 2015

Received the cards a few days ago, not bad at all. I poked around the local big blue big box store and found 'industrial strength' Velcro (the brand name and all) patches. Got the box, cut to size, used some 91% rubbing alcohol to clean the receiver a few times and applied the soft side Velcro. Box said let the adhesive set up for 24 hours for full strength - so back in the closet she went for a spell. Pulled her out of the closet last night, applied and removed the card and it works like a charm. Long term solution? No way if I was having to change cards out all the time, only because we know Velcro will get dirty, lose some material, etc. But that's fine, I don't expect to be in any sort of full combat mode with this gun. Not SKD's fault. Velcro simply has its weaknesses. Overall quite happy with it. Now I have a 7 round vs 6 round carrier that's far easier to change out and work on the gun with. Time to look at some belts and pouches to go with the gun!

    Multicam shotgun card

Posted by JM on 1st Jan 2015

It doesn't get much simpler than this. Exactly the product you want if you have a need to carry extra shotgun rounds on your rig or plate carrier. Velcro from hell on the backside of the card guarantees that it won't come off in even the worst conditions. Stitching is great, spandex is strong, Multicam pattern matches the Banshee carrier perfectly.

    Was disappointed

Posted by Unknown on 1st Jan 2015

I had very high expectations for these cards based on the raving reviews, but I have to say that I'm kind of disappointed. The velcro is strong, the the shells fall right out of the elastic after only a few shots.

    Perfect

I have a ATI Tac-PX1shotgun, there's not much accessories for it. The Esstac Shotgun Card help put extra shells on my shotgun without modifying it.

    Shotgun Card

Posted by Henry J Bialik on 28th Sep 2014

Product is well beyond my expectations. Well made, Shells are held very tight and do not fall out when shooting. Will purchase more in the future. Shipping was fast and received items quickly, much faster than other MFR I have ordered from. Plus they sent an email confirming shipping. Cons: 1. Wish they made a 6 Shot Card also. (maybe future product). 2. Not sure how long the 550 Para-Cord loops will last.

    Buy Here & Buy These

Once again I came to SKD to buy something I needed to complete a weapons package. These shotgun cards hold up well and are priced reasonably.

Should have been my first choice!

Posted by Gabriel Castellano on 28th Sep 2014

I'll admit I feel a bit silly for not choosing the Esstac system first. I knew there was an issue when I mounted the tacstar side saddle on to my benelli m4 and it immediately short stroked. Not what you would expect from a perfect battle shotgun. I realized that the mounting design was pinching my bolt therefore causing some disastrous malfunctions that were absolutely not native to my m4. Then I tried to fix the situation by ordering a 3gungear shotgun card and still haven't heard a single word from those guys about my order, even after a detailed report to the Better Business Bureau. Then came crunch time since I'm in police academy and a side saddle was absolutely necessary. I ordered the Esstac card and within a few days I was up and running flawlessly just in time for qualifications. I want to thank skdtac for being a stand up business and handling orders like pros. It might not sound like much but the Esstac card helped me achieve some serious scoring during academy quals!

    Upholds the KISS principle

Posted by Ben J on 28th Sep 2014

As an engineer and an avid shooter I firmly believe in the KISS principle. The ESSTAC shotshell cards uphold this principle. Can be mounted to any shotgun (Benelli Nova in my case) with some industrial loop velcro, easily sourced from a hardware or fabric store. 6 other reasons you should buy these: 1. No bolts to interfere with stripping the weapon, or to back out while shooting, or to bind up the gun if you over-torque them. 2. No rubber tubing to wear out and replace. 3. No open plastic shell holders to snag on your other gear like the most common saddle has. 4. Stores easily, two of the cards fit securely in a double mag pouch. 5. Can be mounted anywhere you have loop velcro, e.g. receiver, stock, vest, a belt... 6. The card weighs very little, around 45 grams empty. I've used every shotgun 'saddle' device out there. They all suck. These cards do not. You should buy some. You won't regret it.
