Esstac Shotgun Card

There is hook velcro sewn on the back of the shotgun cards. Made for 12gauge shotgun shells only. The "Add Sticky Back Loop Velcro for $1.50" option is a strip of industrial strength loop velcro with industrial strength adhesive. Choose this option if you would like to attach the shotgun card to your shotguns receiver. Please let the velcro adhere for 24 hours to let the adhesive take a set.

Esstac Shotgun card - Simple and fast. My jedi master showed me the true benefit of this simple shotgun reload. Slap some loop on your shotgun's left side. Load a few shotgun cards, and place one on the gun. You can fit the spares (back to back if it's a bigger pouch) in a single mag pouch. As you reload the shotgun, tear off the empty shotgun card, pull out a new one and slap it on. You're ready to slay even more zombies. Super easy, cheap when compared to other side saddles, and very, very fast. View More SKD Staff Picks

7 rounds of 12 gauge ammunition can be carried on the Esstac Shotgun Card, which is backed with hook. Put two of these back to back, and you have a 14-round bundle that fills up a double M4 magazine pouch. Line the side of your receiver with loop, and you have an ammo "side-saddle" system that you can replace in an instant- perfect for Law Enforcement use, whether it is for breaching or less-lethal rounds. The versatility of these Shotgun Cards will prove themselves many times over the more you use them!

Note from Stu @ Esstac about the elastic loop longevity:
"Shotty cards, treat them like a magazine. They will wear more quickly with use rather then just sitting loaded, they will lose some tension over time but that is normal for elastic, I have a couple ammo cans full of loaded shotgun cards and they are still GTG several years later."

Black, Coyote Brown, and RangerGreen is Mil Spec Elastic.

Muliticam color is printed Mil Spec Elastic.

Versatile solution for the 12 gauge

Posted by Kevin on 10th Oct 2013

Holds a few shotshells, either Velcro'd to body armor, or stuffed in an M4 mag pouch. Two will fit on the velcro of many admin pouches if you need a MOLLE option. Haven't experimented with them on a buttstock or sidesaddle, but there's potential there as well.

    ShotgunSideSaddle

Posted by Unknown on 10th Oct 2013

Overall a great side saddle, the ONLY reason I gave it 4 stars is because when running 12 gauge shells they are very hard to get out and you cannot make the retention any looser, leaving the shells in for a week has not worked. great product otherwise

    checkout was not quite there

Posted by richard lockwood on 4th Oct 2013

i tried to complete checkout and the site kept saying "invalid email or password" but never prompted me to create an account. nowhere in the checkout did it have instructions for new users to create an account. midwayusa and brownells will give you the option to create a new acct as part of checkout but on your site i had to navigate away from checkout, create a new acct, log in and then checkout. anyway i'm happy with the cards and i like supporting smaller businesses (that and midway doesn't have velcro SG cards). Thanks again! RL

    Good price, good design

I purchased two of these shotgun cards for my home defense shotgun. I then went to the craft store and purchased a package of adhesive backed hook and loop and stuck the applicable half on the inside of my gun cabinet. This keeps two full reloads of shells handy where I can find them quickly. They do not take up any shelf space since they're stuck to the wall. I have no problems with the quality of the gear, but I have not abused it enough to really have an opinion. If it holds up it will be a terrific bargain for the price.

    Great Piece of Kit

Posted by Jeffery Hamilton on 30th Sep 2013

The item is really a good idea, and unlike some other makers who stipulate 6-8 weeks before order is shipped, I got my Esstac trays in less than a week! The elastic for the shells is very tight, but I expect they'll loosen up a bit after the shells are in for a while. They are very stable, and the hook back is strong enough to adhere to a relatively small area of loop. My setup is a kangaroo pouch from Condor, and I just slap the tray on the loop patch on the front of the pistol mag pouch (I fold the flaps inside to make it open top, and retention is just fine).
