Esstac Shotgun card - Simple and fast. My jedi master showed me the true benefit of this simple shotgun reload. Slap some loop on your shotgun's left side. Load a few shotgun cards, and place one on the gun. You can fit the spares (back to back if it's a bigger pouch) in a single mag pouch. As you reload the shotgun, tear off the empty shotgun card, pull out a new one and slap it on. You're ready to slay even more zombies. Super easy, cheap when compared to other side saddles, and very, very fast. View More SKD Staff Picks
7 rounds of 12 gauge ammunition can be carried on the Esstac Shotgun Card, which is backed with hook. Put two of these back to back, and you have a 14-round bundle that fills up a double M4 magazine pouch. Line the side of your receiver with loop, and you have an ammo "side-saddle" system that you can replace in an instant- perfect for Law Enforcement use, whether it is for breaching or less-lethal rounds. The versatility of these Shotgun Cards will prove themselves many times over the more you use them!
Note from Stu @ Esstac about the elastic loop longevity:
"Shotty cards, treat them like a magazine. They will wear more quickly with use rather then just sitting loaded, they will lose some tension over time but that is normal for elastic, I have a couple ammo cans full of loaded shotgun cards and they are still GTG several years later."
Black, Coyote Brown, and RangerGreen is Mil Spec Elastic.
Muliticam color is printed Mil Spec Elastic.

Gets the job done
They are a tight fit for the double mag pouch on my US Peacekeeper bag and experimenting shows that pulling one out will pull the other out also. With the velcro attachments however, they are attachable to the bag exterior and can be stuck onto the strap running across the chest (with an added velcro patch) to facilitate reloading. Very nice alternative to a bandoleer for those of us that don't anticipate needing 50 rds of buckshot to defend the household.

Clever little product.
I've been impressed at not only how well these things are made, but just how versatile. The velcro backing works great on my tac vest. Just use smaller patches and I can slap these across my chest for reloads. The velcro backing h olds very well during deployment and the elastic holders for the shotgun rounds hold them in place very well until I want to use them. Overall the stitching is very strong and the pull tabs are strong.

Why dind't I think of this...
I own 7 of these cards. They are very well made, and work as advertised. They let me use the exact same chest rig with my shotgun that I use for my AR15. The backing is quite stiff. The cards do bow a bit when fully loaded but not very much. The pull loop is not elastic like I first thought. The cards are 7.25"x2" in size (about the size of a 30rnd AR15 mag) so I fill up the single 5.56 mag pouches on my rig with them. A properly shaped and sized piece of adhesive backed loop velcro on the side of your shotgun is all you need for this system to work.

Awesome product!
I received my shotgun cards three days after placing my order. Once again, SKD service is second to none! back to the product review....The Esstac card is built tough. Each loop is secured with two rows of stitching and provides just the right amount of tension. The card itself looks to be 1-3/4" nylon web material with Velcro hooks on the back. The stitching is through the elastic, web material and velcro. This important as it makes the card very rigid. I have loaded all seven loops with 12 ga. shells and in 24 hrs. it has yet to bow. My shotgun has velcro loop on the left side of the receiver and the the shotgun card serves as an inexpensive side saddle. I placed the other card on the velcro in front of a mag pouch on my chest rig. That gives me 14 shells that are readily accessible. I will be buying more of these soon! I definitely recommend these cards. They're a well built, inexpensive solution for carrying your spare shotgun ammo.

Convenient spare shot shell carrier
Modestly priced for spare shot shell carry solution that is well made. Velcro backed for placement options with pull cord adds versatility.
