Lancer L5AWM Advanced Warfighter Magazine, 30 Round

The L5 AWM is a hybrid magazine that combines the best features of polymer and steel magazine designs.

Unique to the AWM is the one piece wrap-around hardened steel feed lip assembly that is permanently attached to an impact resistant polymer body. The hardened steel feed lips won’t bend, break or deform due to rough handling or long term storage. An aggressive surface texture has been applied to the polymer body to improve gripping and retrieval from pouches. The combination of steel and polymer result in a lightweight, robust magazine tough enough for professional use.

The internal geometry of the Advanced Warfighter Magazine is a constant curve that has been maximized to feed the 5.56X45mm NATO round and has a non-tilting follower for trouble-free feeding. The feed lips are made from a single piece of precision formed steel that is hardened, then PTFE coated for corrosion resistance. The body and component materials are corrosion and chemical resistant, passing military chemical testing, including exposure to DEET.

The L5 AWM is compatible with modern weapon systems; M4/M16/AR15, HK416, SCAR-L / Mk16, and the ARX160 to name a few.

    Works but seems flimsy

Looks cool but when getting to max capacity, loading gets very difficult...as if the magazine doesn't really hold 30 rounds. Maybe just takes getting used to. I am comparing to Magpul.

All I can say is goodbly PMag

I haven't had one of these break on my yet. The clear smoke is excellent for round counting and quick visual checks. I will no longer use PMags after using these. Highly recommend.

    Awesome Mag!

Posted by Josh on 28th Sep 2014

I used usgi mags for years and swapped to p-mags like most people and have had great luck out of them but have heard a lot about the new Lancer AWM mags and wanted to try them out. I was really digging the translucent smoke version so i ordered 1 to try out to see if i liked it. After having it for about a week and putting about 300 rounds thru it I can say that so far so good! No problems or malfunctions at all. I really love this mag and can't say enough good things about it. Love the light weight polymer and the hardened steel feed lips. Can check approximate round count at a quick glance. These things are very well made also! Just a great product and I'm definately going to buy more!

    Never a bad experience.

Have ordered these magazines several times now. Each time they have shipped same day and arrived at their destination within 2 days. Excellent magazines, not a hiccup or mis-feed in the lot. Bought them for use in an AR-15 chambered in .458 SOCOM as recommended by Wilson Combat and I would do the same. By the way, work great in my 5.56 as well.

    Lancer Magazine

Posted by Oregon on 2nd Jun 2014

Magazine works perfect, one of my 2 magazines that i order is open in front(where the 2 sides get together) l think that area is too thin, if Magpul put this metal inserts on their magazines they are going to be a perfect magazine, L5AWM not good for combat situation. SKD the BEST!!! Customer service shipping was fast. Thanks.

    Best Mags for the buck.

Magpul has some of the most reliable mags on the market and IMO, Lancer is equal in quality and reliability. So why go w/ Lancer L5AW? The smoke translucent body gives you 360deg visibility on round count.
