Lancer L5AWM Advanced Warfighter Magazine, 30 Round

The L5 AWM is a hybrid magazine that combines the best features of polymer and steel magazine designs.

Unique to the AWM is the one piece wrap-around hardened steel feed lip assembly that is permanently attached to an impact resistant polymer body. The hardened steel feed lips won’t bend, break or deform due to rough handling or long term storage. An aggressive surface texture has been applied to the polymer body to improve gripping and retrieval from pouches. The combination of steel and polymer result in a lightweight, robust magazine tough enough for professional use.

The internal geometry of the Advanced Warfighter Magazine is a constant curve that has been maximized to feed the 5.56X45mm NATO round and has a non-tilting follower for trouble-free feeding. The feed lips are made from a single piece of precision formed steel that is hardened, then PTFE coated for corrosion resistance. The body and component materials are corrosion and chemical resistant, passing military chemical testing, including exposure to DEET.

The L5 AWM is compatible with modern weapon systems; M4/M16/AR15, HK416, SCAR-L / Mk16, and the ARX160 to name a few.

    Lancer L5A 30rd

This is a solid, well built magazine. Not only does it have to Gucci factor of being see-through, it flat out works. I've beat the hell out of 9 of these in the sandbox over the last year, and haven't had a single malfunction. They've been stepped on, sat on, thrown, and kept loaded, and they continue to function. Solid addition to any kit.

    Lancer L5A 30

Shooters, this thing is bombproof. Do not be afraid of it's equivalence to Magpul's magazines. You will be happy with it's performance. The reinforced feed lips are durable and the visible ammunition supply is a must. I teach to use an LED (covered in duct tape) to check your ammo supply at night. This magazine was made for that technique. Feel confident with this magazine!

    Pretty darn nice mag

Posted by Shruggerxd on 28th Apr 2011

This mag is a great piece. The translucent polymer is a nice touch giving you the ability to accurately and quickly get an idea of how much ammo you have left without needing to do more than tilt your weapon. The metal feed lips are nice and sturdy an the removable base plate is a nice feature. The only problem that I could possibly come up with was the fact that there is no cover for long term storage of loaded mags. I think I am a little spoiled by Pmags though. But apparently the metal feed lips are supposed to be strong enough to resist feed lip spread. Overall a highly recommended mag.

    better than pmag

Posted by Joseph on 28th Apr 2011

everyone loves the pmag, and i do too, but these mags are just as strong, lighter, and you can see the ammo all the way through. I ran this thing over with a truck and even parked on top of it. only some superficial scratches.

    Awesome Mag

Posted by Lockon on 28th Apr 2011

Its a light well built mag, it is the ONLY mag that drops free from an MSAR E4. It looks great, works awesome and is light and sturdy. I'm looking forward to trying these out on other platforms.

    Good product

I like this magazine, has reinforced feedlips. I do feel it has a lighter feel than Pmags like a USGI, though I have not been able to break mine, It feeds well, and is the only available translucent magazine available.

    Great Mag!!!

This mag is easy to work with and easy to hold. The best part is that you can see your rounds. I just wish it had different colors than the dark amber.

    Solid Mag

Posted by Mike B. on 28th Apr 2011

This is a solid magazine that offers the user a clear idea of the number of rounds remaining. These mags are complete with metal feed lips and despite me dropping full mags during various drills, they still run flawlessly. The only area that these mags need work is in the area of the follower. They don't use a standard GI or Magpul anti-tilt follower, and they can be tilted. I've never experienced a problem with it, but the potential is there. All in all, a solid product.
