Lancer L7AWM Advanced Warfighter Magazine, 20 Round

The L7AWM is an advanced hybrid magazine that combines the strength of steel with the toughness of polymer to form the most advanced 7.62X51mm magazine on the market.

Lancer engineers have taken the lessons learned from the L5AWM magazine and user feedback to create a lightweight, reliable 7.62X51mm magazine. The L7AWM incorporates a unique dual steel design that wraps completely around the magazine, maximizing stiffness and feeding reliability while minimizing wear and dimpling to the front of the magazine caused by high volume firing. The magazine also contains a switchable drain located on the floor plate lock. This feature, in conjunction with drain channels in the floor plate, allows the user to configure the magazine between water borne and extreme dust conditions.

    Great mags

The magazine is top quality. It functions flawlessly as it should for the price. My only complaint is that 40$ price. They are better than p mags but I’m not sure that they are twice as good

    Best AR10 mags

Used for years. Pick up extras as can afford them or on sale. Like PMags but these are better.

    L7AWM 20 rounder

First off SKD ships fast!!! Haven't used this mag yet but I like the look and feel of it. Takes a good solid press to seat in my Aero M5E1 receiver set. I've only used PMAGs in the past so I hadn't thought about this being a straight (non curved) magazine with a flat base. I'll have to pay a little more attention to the orientation upon insertion.

    Seems to be ammo particular

Posted by Courageous Lion on 20th Apr 2016

The Lancer 20 round 7.62 magazines seem to have an issue according to the ammo used. I've had the bolt close after the last round and found that with different ammo they will allow the bolt to stay back but with others it closes. My Magpul 7.62 magazines lock the bolt back no matter what ammo I use. I've read where I'm not the only one with this issue. Lancer needs to look closer at their 7.62 design. This has happened to two different LR 308's so I know it can't be a gas issue. And like I wrote, the Magpul mags lock back fine.
