Magpul AFG2 Angled Fore Grip
The age old question of "Do I add a Vertical Foregrip (VFG) or go slick rail?" now has another real option to consider with the Magpul AFG (Angled Fore-Grip).
Offering many of the benefits of the VFG (added recoil management, reduced wrist/arm fatigue, increased grip surface) with few of its downsides (snag hazard, tendency to "hang on to" instead of "driving" the muzzle when shooting), the Magpul AFG2 improves weapon ergonomics and increases shooting efficiency by positioning the support hand high on the bore axis and not beneath it like most VFGs do.
When all is said and done, your weapon's controllability goes up without having to resort to completely changing the footprint of your forend like you would with a VFG. The Magpul AFG2 is a slimmer and shorter design than the AFG1, and allows for more compatibility with a wider array of rail accessories and mount. Featuring a 3 piece design with interchangeable finger shelves (for "A1" flat surface or "A2" finger rest), the AFG2 will mount onto Picatinny 1913 and Nato Stanag 4694 rails with a minimum of 3" of rail space.

great for control when transitioning from target to target

A great development for modern shooting
Helps control that metal mass while shooting quick in those CQB distances. Makes it much easier to snap from target to target without the mechanical over-sway.

Never quite understood...
I always felt regular grips felt a bit uncomfortable, after installing the angled fore grip I see its comfort and utility.

Magpul AFG2
I wanted the best and Magpul has delivered. This angled fore grip is perfect for those who need to be able to shoot over barrier without exposing themselves and yet maintain the ability to keep control of the weapon.

Fits my normal grip
Not high speed low drag at all, but seems to feel natural to someone who has mostly hunting firearms. Only used the single screw to attach to my rail and there is a bit of a rattle. This was just a test fit, so there may be more to tighten.

Magpul AFG
I wanted to try something different on my latest build and happy that I did. Took a little to get use to it but definitely a keeper. Like all Magpul products the quality is excellent.
