Magpul® RSA-QD Rail Sling Attachment
This is a great design, creating just the right way to obtain and utilize the single point attachment. This is very well finished, as is everything I've seen from Magpul.
Looks nice and does the job. Very sturdy.
I've used a couple of different rear sling set ups including the Noveske, Daniel Defense, and plain para cord. The Magpul has great fit and finish, is easy to install, and feels durable. I like the welded loop as opposed to the QD attachment. Although the QDs have never failed on me, I always worry about them since all the weight/force is applied to the small balls and groove.
Ease of installation. Perfect sling attachment just what I was looking for.
Not too much to say. Does what it says and well.
Anyone that uses a single point sling on an AR rifle will love this sling mount. Transition from left to right is instant with no effort. Fit and function is perfect, looks like factory equipment. Great price too and even cheaper than direct from Magpul.
If you run the MS2 sling then this is a MUST! I have had mine for almost a year and absolutely love what it allows you to do. Transitions are much smoother, switching between single and two point is a great option, and I love having the quick detach option. Alot of people complain about it being "noisy", but I think they're just being picky and that "problem" can easily be modded. I highly recommend it!
I have run this sling system in tandom with the Magpul MS2 sling. The system work well together. After owning this product for close to a year, I sometimes wished there was a quick detach version that had the full range of motion that the ASAP is known for. Then I arrived at Noveske's butt plate product. I haven't tried it but I suspect the Noveske system is the only product that could possibly one-up the Magpul design. Just a thought. If you go with either, you've chosen wisely.
This is a fairly straight-forward idea executed brilliantly. Probably works best with Magpul's own sling, but works with pretty much all others. I recommend you install it as part of your carbine building process.
