Magpul ASAP Ambidextrous Sling Attachment Point

The ASAP was designed to give a shooter over 180 degrees range of motion of the sling attachment point and can be used ambidextrously by both left or right handed shooters. This sling mount gives the shooter a tactical advantage allowing a full range of motion and minimizes binding while switching shoulders. This is particularly important in situations such as shooting around corners or if the shooter was injured. The ASAP is designed for use with Single-Point slings with a snap hook (such as the Magpul MS2 Sling) on CAR-15/M4 Carbines.

Made in the USA

Features
  • Solid cast steel plate
  • Durable welded link ring
  • Works with both Military and Commercial Carbine Receiver Extensions
  • Mil-Spec Black Manganese Phosphate finish

    Awesome

Posted by Pete Shrock on 27th Feb 2010

I love the design... I agree it is a little noisy when no sling is attached but that shouldn't matter. Allows for a more Dynamic shoulder transfer. will definately put on any other rifles I get.

Does everything it advertises, and works great for my purposes. Allows the rifle to hang naturally.

    Easy transition

This plate is amazing in every way. the only problem is that it jingles when you move around..... no big deal though.

A MUST HAVE piece of equipment for your M4!!

Posted by Michael C. on 30th Jan 2010

This Magpul product is OUTSTANDING! The addition of the ASAP to your M4 will facilitate EFFORTLESS transitioning from weapons shoulder to reaction shoulder, and will allow the shooter to engage targets in a myriad of non-standard positions. I HIGHLY recommend the ASAP combined with the Magpul MS2 Sling. I bought them, and I ALWAYS use them. ESSENTIAL kit for any shooter!

    No nonsense mount

Posted by Jeffrey Johnson on 30th Jan 2010

I'm in the process of swapping out all my plates for this mount. I was using another ambi mount with a centered eyelet (I'm a lefty), but I had to use a mini-carabiner as a link and, it kept the stock from fully collapsing- not so with this one. Great for use with slings with HK hooks.

    GREAT Ambidextrous Sling Attachment Point

Posted by Anthony on 30th Jan 2010

Great sling attachment. Easy to install, like any other end plate/sling attachment. The color matches great with my Kaiser Defense lower. I was actually worried that my ACS stock will not close all the way with this plate but it does. As far as i know, all stocks can close all the way with the ASAP unlike other QD swivel style end plate. Like everyone else says, it does rattle with no sling attached to the ASAP, but hardly bothersome to me. The ASAP is durable so far, i still have to do some more testing but from what i can tell, even after a few scratches on the chain link part, i'm sure it won't break anytime soon. Overall it does what i want to and its just another great product from magpul.

    Very Dynamic Sling Point

Posted by Patrick Banaag on 30th Jan 2010

After trying Magpul's ASAP Sling Point I now have one on all of my AR-15s. My main problem with a lot of ambidextrous sling points were that most are just push button QDs that are usually mounted to a really bulky and expensive piece of metal. I feel the ASAP is ingenious and very compact but still versatile. I love taking new shooters to the range and there has been more then one case where I took a new shooter who happened to be left handed and the offset right handed sling points are uncomfortable. The ASAP solves this. No real downside other than being noisy when no sling is attached.

    Awesome!

It is very nice to be able to transition from righty to lefty and back without having the sling connection point get twisted or caught. It makes it so there is less you have to wory about on transitions.
