    Super Fast

Posted by Beni on 20th Sep 2010

This product makes reloads so much faster than the ol' "slap the ping pong paddle" method. Also makes manipulating malfunctions way easier than the standard way. No more swapping hands and losing "fire control". Highly recommended!

    Just buy it

I have owned the BAD lever for over a year. It makes magazine transitions easier and more fun. For the price, this is my favorite aftermarket piece.

    Functional Piece Of Gear

Posted by JONATHAN E on 20th Sep 2010

This product functions as described. While there are other versions on the market, I opted to wait for the 2nd batch of these to be released. I am glad I waited, its light weight, and is surprisingly rigid. Unit is able to release the bolt even with an Extra power buffer spring. The lever generates enough leverage to release the BCG with just the tip of your finger. Its also extremely easy to lock the bolt back while clearing malfunctions. I know there are Anti-Magpul people out there, but if you are to own any magpul product this is the product to own!

What's not to love? Simplifies the manual of arms by several steps. Combined with an extended charging handle latch, this simple and affordable add-on is a necessity to any serious shooter.

Probably the most useful piece of kit I've added to my rifle. Didn't take me long to get the hang of it, and it makes movements more efficient in malfunction solving. Get one for all your rifles. Now..

Teaching an old dog new tricks

Posted by Tactical Toulon on 7th Jul 2010

The concept of the BAD lever, like everything else with Magpul products is simplistic and practical. I purchased one recently and first tried it on one of our issued M4 carbines, before of course fielding it on my own AR-15 back home. My impression was - "It works as intended." While it may feel a bit loose - and I tightened the retention screw as far as I would without stripping it - I found it solid and worked. It took some getting used to, since most soldiers are taught the old fashion way. But like everything, practice, practice. Due to the "Regular Army's" policy of limited alterations to the weapon systems; so unless your a Ranger, a Spec Ops operator, I'd say leave this for your own competition weapon systems. I strongly recommend this device. Godbless Magpul.

    Best addition to my gun...

Posted by Bryan on 25th Jan 2010

The BAD lever totally simplifies the use if the AR platform. You can fully operate your AR without having to take your hand off of fire control (the grip). No more tossing your gun back and forth from hand to hand trying to get your bolt locked back and then slapping the side of the gun to get the bolt released (of course it is less dramatic using the BAD Lever). Just a lift on lever with your trigger finger and pull the charging handle. Bolt locked back. A flick of the trigger finger down on the lever and it sends the bolt home. With something so simple it makes you wonder why it wasn't in the original desing of the gun.

    AR Must Accessory

Posted by Matthew Kennedy on 25th Jan 2010

I was skeptical of the advantages of the Magpul BAD. I had watched the first Magpul Dynamics DVD showcasing this add-on and decided to try it out. I can honestly say that this is a part that should come standard on all AR's. It allows the shooter to stay on fire control while locking the bolt back with your trigger finger. Then you can release the bolt on a fresh mag with the same motion. It's the final piece on a truly ambidextrous AR.

    Initial Thoughts

The Magpul BAD Lever is a must have for those who are concerned about efficiency and speed. For those that do IPSEC, IDPA or plan on using it for law enforcement or military applications this small device enhances the the operators ability in a few different ways. First, it allows one to do speed reloads quicker then normally be removing excessive waste movement. Second, (and this is where it shines) clearing double feeds are much faster and not as awkward when the proper techniques are used. Thirdly, adds an ambidextrous nature to your AR15 style rifle that wasn't there before for those that shoot reaction shoulder. One of the best modifications I have done to my AR15 and I love it!
