The Magpul Ranger is a floorplate replacement for current issue USGI 30 round magazines that incorporates an integral loop, floorplate lock, and mag identifier. When installed on the base of a magazine, the Magpul Ranger provides unsurpassed speed and controllability during high stress, tactical magazine changes.
Loop is made of pliable Santoprene overmolded onto a stainless steel plate.
Patented design based upon the tried and true para-cord loops and duct-tape tabs currently in use with special warfare units worldwide.

Great product and great site.
I ordered the Magpul Floorplates on a Saturday and had them by Tuesday. SKD is one of the best in the business for awesome customer service and products. The install of the floorplates was easy and the benefits are great. The angle of the piece allows for more than an easier grab for a mag. It gives another point of contact for the rifle in those hurry up, wait, and stare down range for extended periods of time. The angle allows the mag to act as a "monopod". Thanks again for the great service and product lines.

Floor Plate
Have used these for some time. They are easy enough to install and do the job of protecting your mag during mag changes, even on to asphalt or concrete.

Magul floor plates
I had resisted adding anything to my magazines until I tried some that a friend had. Good product. However assembly looked simple, but maybe it is my slow brain or something but took a half hour to get the 1st on installed, after that just a few minutes.

Great addition to GI 30 round AR mags. Keeps a slim profile, so the mags fit into more mag pouches. Bought these for a new 6.8 build with AR Stoner mags. Excellent service from SKD as well, two days from order to delivery. WOW. Will order again. Thanks, SKD.
