PIG Armor Kit Bag (AKB)

You depend on your Personal Protective Body Armor every time you don it… armor that costs hundreds if not thousands of dollars… and when it comes off, it goes into a flimsy duffel bag. Does this sound familiar?

Now you can carry your quality armor in a quality carrier that is designed specifically for it. The PIG AKB (Armor Kit Bag) protects your expensive investment, and carries it in a compact package that is easy to maneuver and handle. From a simple Plate Carrier, to a full IOTV Armor package, the AKB carries your armor in its intended upright orientation.

The foundation of the AKB is a fully-encased bucket of 1/4” foam that provides drop and shock protection for your plates and kit. The AKB has enough room to allow your belt kit to sit nicely over the top of your armor. On one interior wall, a helmet stirrup holds your MICH, FAST, or similar helmet in the proper location to allow it to nestle in the head notch of your armor. The exterior walls feature an ID window for a name card and three utility pockets on one side, and a full-width stash pocket on the other- large enough to stow your snivel gear and a plethora of additional kit.

The bottom corners of the stash pocket feature hidden folds that allow access and stowage of metal rings for PIG Mk-1 Shoulder Straps (sold separately), allowing full-on backpack carriage. Once installed, the Mk-1 Shoulder Straps can be stowed out of the way without fully uninstalling them by releasing the side release buckles, pulling in the bottom tabs back through the hidden folds, and reconnecting the straps inside the stash pocket.

Features include:

  • Fully-enclosed foam bucket construction for shock protection.
  • Durable yet lightweight 500D Cordura exterior.
  • Integral Helmet Stirrup.
  • 1” webbing handles wrap around the entire bag for added strength.
  • PIG Mk-1 Shoulder Straps compatible (sold separately).
  • Integrated easy-stow feature for Mk-1 Shoulder Straps (sold separately)
  • ID window and exterior stash pockets.
  • Uber practical design, Bomber construction, & Excessive sex appeal.
  • Made in USA.

Dimensions: H: 25" x W: 20" / Top Depth: 4.5", Bottom Depth: 6"

The PIG AKB represents the pinnacle of armor carriage solutions- It is quite simply the sexiest armor carrier known to man. It will significantly increase your desirability with women, and create intense jealously among your peers.

Designed in our PIG LABS in St. Louis, this and all other PIG tactical nylon products are Made in the USA!

    Excellent Armour Kit Bag

Posted by Unknown on 3rd Feb 2016

This kit bag is perfect, the size is great for a quick grab and go loadout. With my OCD it allows me to organize my Plate Carrier specific loadout easily and avoid the heavy overweight gym type bags that I've used in the past. The bag stands upright on its own even when loaded with my LBT medium plate carrier and also with my OpsCore Ballistic Helmet. There is enough room to add more gear inside if you choose to do so.

Great way to transport your armor

After carrying my kit in a 14 dollar Wal-Mart duffle for years it was time to upgrade. The bag is well made as is everything I have ever bought from SKD, there is good padding on the bottom and sides. Overall a good value when you consider most armor and plate carrier combos are easily in the 500-1000 range.

    Just what I needed.

I was looking for a bag to hold my plate carrier and protect it from damage when it rides in my trunk. The PIG armor kit bag fits the bill perfectly. Plenty of room for my plate carrier (and a helmet if I had one) and room for extra gear as well. Just what I needed. Shipping was, as usual, very prompt and I got the bag in two days.

    Spacious and well made.

Quality construction. Plenty of room...if I wanted to find something wrong with it, it's almost too big! In any case I recommend this product to anyone using hard plates. The padding in the Kit Bag very effectively prevents damage to relatively fragile (and very expensive!) ceramic plates.

    PIG Armor Bag

Posted by LSP on 24th Jan 2013

A little thinner (no padding or rigidness like I though there would be) and LONGER than I thought it would be. I wish they made one to fit just their PIG plate carrier so it would be a shorter & more compact bag of maybe heavier material. I'm still very happy with it and would recommend it.

    Great piece of kit!

Posted by Angel Ocasio on 14th Dec 2012

I got tired of lugging my kit around in a bulky pelican case so I purchased one of these. It holds and protects all of my range/work kit to include: Mayflower Armor package, ACH, ATS warbelt with fastmag pouches, dump pouch and ALS holster, PVS-14's, Arcteryx Kneecaps, gloves and 2 additional ALS holster bodies. It is not "overstuffed" and it carries well. My only complaint is that the shoulder straps shouldn't be an option but rather standard as they surely are the prefered method of carrying my kit from my home/office to vehicle and to range etc. Overall Awesome piece of workmanship on a much needed product

    Great Bag

Posted by Unknown on 13th Dec 2012

I was looking for an armor bag for quite awhile and when this was on sale i jumped on it. The bag fits my body armor (SAPI plates, side SAPI, shoulder protection), radio, drop leg holster, (everything but the helmet, but I strapped that onto the handles so I can carry everything at one time). Exterior pockets increase the storage space if anything is needed to be packed. These pockets do lack anyway to close them, but nothing has fallen out yet. The build quality looks good (I've only had it a week but I fully expect it to last). I would recommend this bag, and I'd buy it again.
