PIG gRUNT Large Frame Sheet

The PIG Large gRUNT Frame Sheet is the perfect complement to carrying bulky/heavy items in your Large gRUNT as a stand alone pack. The stiff plastic insert gives you just enough rigidity to spread the load and keep your back from getting poked and prodded by your pack's contents. Slips directly into the hydration sleeve of the Large gRUNT and secures into place with the one-wrap retention strap. We do not guarantee fit in other manufacturer packs, although reviewers have mentioned that this Frame Sheet works with several different makes/models. Dimensions are L: 16 3/4" x W: 8". Made in USA!

    I got this primarily because of the online reviews from loadedpocketz. It's not as rigid as I had hoped, but quality and shipping speed was excellent.

    Perfect for camelbak!

    I carry a few different camelbak maximum gear packs on a daily basis for commutes. Two of my favorite packs, the MULE and the H.A.W.G. Have very little support in the back panel to keep the packs from slouching over when sat on the floor. This led me to SKD Tactical and the Large grunt! I purchased a couple of these and they fit both packs mentioned above very nicely! At first I was a bit underwhelmed due to the fact that the frame sheets were flexible on thier own, but once placed in the bladder holder compartment of the packs, it adds just enough rigidity to keep these packs from folding over on themselves without preventing the use of a bladder! The other added benefit when placed between the main compartment wall and the bladder is it prevents the bladder from bulging into the main compartment as much, freeing up a bit of room! Highly recommended for camelbak pack!

    I saw a review for Camelbak HAWG Mil Tac and it mentioned using the PIG gRUNT frame insert to shore up the frameless Camelbak pack. It was a perfect fit in the reservoir pouch and gives great lightweight stability to the frameless Camelbak pack. When I first tried to place an order for it, it was sold out. SKD notified me as soon as a new shipment came it and their quick shipping guys got it to me within the week--awesome service. Arizona hiking adventures are now a lot easier.

    Nice frame sheet that will fit multiple packs from many makers. Also has spots to add more rigidity need be.

    this is the ideal product if you want to stiffen your pack and make it les "limp". Fits in the hydration pocket and still leaves plenty of room for the bladder.
