Surefire is the standard by which all others should be judged. this light is not only sturfdy, bright, and lightweight......it is an incredible value considering the price. Order a couple of these the first time or you will wish you had.

I have this mounted on my long range AR-15. With a 12x scope I was shooting out the "x"s at 125 yds. It's just what I needed.

Surefire G2X Tactical
When I received the surefire G2X tactical, I was immediately impressed with the quality of the light. I have used this light for many things from hiking, to camping, to industrial use, to boating. Simply put, this light is great for nearly any situation. The light is extremely bright and allows me to illuminate targets quite a ways away. This light is like an AK in terms of durability, it's design is extremely simple, and therefore leaves little room for issues. In short: fantastic light, can't recommend it enough.

Excellent Value, Needs Clicky Tail Cap
The G2X Tactical is a fantastic light for EDC, or for mounting on the rail of a rifle. Previous to the G2X and 6PX, you had to buy a standard light or LED light, and then buy an aftermarket lamp assembly to get into the higher lumens range of intensity. The X models give you 200Lumens of illumination for 2.5hours. The G2X model is 1oz lighter, which is great for your pocket. I recommend the Tactical model as opposed to the Pro model, as you really only need one stage of brightness. When you need the light, you don't want to have to click the tail cap multiple times. Unfortunately, I could only award 4/5 stars since the Tactical has SureFire's lockout pressure tail cap. This is really a design that should be eliminated. It needs a clicky tail cap so I can turn it constantly on or off with a single click, instead of having to screw and unscrew the rear cap. Luckily, the SureFire Z59 tailcap switch works as a good conversion, but at a cost of an additional $42.
