Vickers Tactical Large Frame MAG Floor Plate by TangoDown (VTMFP-002) - For Glock

TangoDown Inc is proud to announce the Vickers Tactical Magazine Floor Plate for Glock pistols. Few people understand modern combat pistol craft like Larry Vickers, who has a distinct eye for potential real-world pistol improvements. After countless hours behind the pistol, he intuitively understands what will fall short in a gun fight. According to Larry, Glock has an enviable reputation for simplicity, durability and accuracy.. much desired qualities in a fighting gun. However, one small flaw could ruin your day.. the OEM magazine base plate. If the magazine fails to fall free from the pistol during a critical speed reload, there’s little you can do about it quickly.

The Factory magazine base plate is undersized, and offers no grip area to enable stripping the magazine if stuck in the weapon. You can’t always rely on the small frame cutout, especially when wearing gloves, or using The Plug. The VT Tactical Floor Plate fixes this fast! Made of high quality, glass-filled nylon for superior strength, these floor plates offer plenty of non-slip surface to strip a stubborn magazine from the weapon, even if stuck with mud, sand or ice.

Excellent for one handed use too, just hook the floor plate under a belt, against a holster, etc. to stay in the fight. The VT Tactical Floor Plates also provide a larger, more positive surface when pulling magazines from pouches, speeding reloads. Concaved dots allow easy numbering & marking of spare magazines.

For Glock magazine calibers: .45 ACP and 10mm. Sold in packs of 5, because any serious fighting handgun should have 5 reliability-proven magazines close by.

    Exactly what I needed.

I was looking for a not-ugly way to number my mags. I didn't like the decals I found, and then saw the Vickers floor plates. Dots, slightly larger with scallops to facilitate pulling the mag, what wasn't to like. I've only put on a couple of them, but the rest will be installed soon, and I'll be ordering more, as a Model 29 has shown up and my house with more mags trailing along behind it. At least that's what I tell my wife. SDK had good pricing, and I received my order sooner than I expected. The included SDK decal was a nice surprise. I'll buy more of these, and I'm sure other gear, too, from SDK.

    Really Like But Not Love

The wide shape makes them easier to grab but it also makes them harder to conceal or put in narrow spaces like chest rig pockets etc. Great for open carry, bad for CCW. I like the 10-8 baseplate design better.

Great product, works great at the range, and I feel confident carrying these on my duty mags for work.

Any after market products designed by Larry Vickers is definitely an upgrade and improvement over factory parts or designs. I always trust them. :-)

Fast service with items in stock. I like that they give shipping info to track your order. I will recommend the company to fellow co-workers.

Should have bought these a long time ago.

Got my first hands on experience with these when a Tac team member showed up to range with them. Allows much more purchase on the mag when stripping the mag from the gun or pulling from a pouch. Also makes it easier to ensure the mag is fully seated. I've since purchased more for off duty guns as well. Base adds very little to the width of the mag, does nothing to make concealment an issue, but adds a lot in manipulation. These are a no brainer.

Typical TangoDown top quality. Beats the heck out of the stock floor plates. Great function and good looks.
