Viking Tactics Wide Padded Sling

After watching videos, demos, etc on different slings for my AR I went with this 2 point Viking Tac and was not disappointed. It is very versatile and very easy to set up and use. Would definitely recommend to others.

The Viking Tactics Wide Padded Sling is the one of the most comfortable 2 point slings I have ever had the pleasure of using. I currently have it on a hunting / training rifle of mine and find that it works very well. It's durable construction and quick adjustment features add to it's ease of use. This is not a sling I would use for a CQB environment but for those that have SPRs or hunting rifles that are packing them long distance this is a viable and wise choice of sling for those applications.

I was first introduced to this sling while serving in Iraq. To this day, I consider it one of the best two-point sling on the market. Well thought-out and constructed, I highly recommend it!

My buddy introduced me to this Viking sling and I was sold. Excellent material and workmanship, fast adjustment and very comfortable. The optional quick detachment strap is a must and I mount it on the butt end of the sling to keep the front short and less clustered. I also swap out the cord on the adjustment buckle with some red 550 cord to make it a bit longer and for quicker visual identification. All the adjustment points came with two slide buckles but I kept only one at each point and the rest for spare. (I started off with the BFG sling but never really got comfortable with it, I personally found the adjustment too stiff, good sling on the LMG, just not for me on the rifle)

To me it was a mistake to bye the sling wide, go for the slim one and in black. Other than that i works well.

I have used most of the slings that are out there, but the VTAC padded sling is my overall favorite. It is simple to use and has a LARGE range of adjustment. That range of adjustment really helps when you may be wearing heavy tactical armor with molle pouches and rifle plates one day and running light the next. I can make it VERY long to get it over my gear or cinch it up pretty tight to sprint around a building or climb over a fence. Adding a couple of HK hooks to the sling and a QCD rear sling mount lets me use it as a two point sling most of the time and then as a single point sling for entry and interior searches if need be. I use one on a MK18 at work and another on the recce carbine I keep at home. The pad makes it more comfortable when you wear a rifle for long hours on a warrant service detail. They truly are a great piece of kit. Its the only sling I intend to buy more of.

I really like this sling. I am a lefty rifle shooter and this 2-point sling works great. I used to have problems with 3-point slings because they normally cover the ejection port.

Would get a 5 star rating if it came with extra methods / accessories to enable attachment to the AR platform. Well made sling, a non slip backing on the padding would be welcomed.
