Vltor A5 Receiver Extension (RE-A5)
VLTOR A5 Buffers
For the operator that requires a specially weighted buffer or wants to fine tune their weapon, the VLTOR A5 buffers come in five unique weights. These buffers are only compatible with other VLTOR A5 products.
1. Can I use these buffers in a carbine receiver?
No, the VLTOR A5 buffers are only designed to work with the A5 receiver extensions (RE-A5 and RE-10/A5SR). Attempting to use these parts in a regular carbine receiver extension will result in damage to the firearm and potential injury to the operator.
Weights for the A5 buffers:
SKD seems to be the only place in stock (as of Nov 12) and the item arrived in a timely manor. I would like to see heavier buffers available, but when no one else has any buffers, I'll deal with an H1. And, in fairness, I wouldve bought an H1 anyways, I'm just now seeing I need an H2 or H3 to improve the build. No fault of SKD.
SKD just happen to have the gear I needed to complete my VLTOR A5 kit. All parts arrived, parts look great, everything fits just fine. But let me just say, I got Amazon prime type processing and shipping from SKD. I'm a fan!
Everyone else had this on backorder for no telling how long. I was so glad SKD had it and shipping was fast!
Excellent service along with fast shipping, what more can one ask for. Thank You FWS
vltor buffers are getting hard to find, bcm doesn’t have a wide selection in stock, skd had it stock and shipped fast
Not much to say about quality of the Vltor A5 buffers - they’re good to go every time. SKD has the best price I could find and shipped them quick. Win win, positive experience all around.
Ordered my parts and received them 3 days later. Super satisfied.
I have only ran about a magazine through my sbr so far. There is a notable softer recoil with the new setup. Great job guys on these setup.
Shipping was faster than expected, came with a target printed on the invoice. Great idea. A5 buffer was in factory packaging, no issues there. 1st a5 system for me and does have a better feel when charging, fairly quiet with standard rifle spring. Using in Aero m4e1 with magpul UBR 2. Have not shot it yet and will submit another review if it makes me a believer.
