Blue Force Gear Trauma Kit NOW! MEDIUM Pouch with Helium Whisper Backing
The Trauma Kit NOW! – MEDIUM is an emergency access Trauma Kit that can be deployed with one hand in seconds. The TKN!-MEDIUM was originally designed to hold the contents of the Army IFAK but can be configured to almost any emergency medical loadout. This is a medium trauma kit for those users that need to carry specific full-size medical items, a smaller trauma kit, the Micro Trauma Kit NOW! is available. For those users requiring even more room, the Trauma Kit NOW! – LARGE is available by special order with minimum quantity requirements. Please contact our Customer Service Team for more information.
The front outer pouch features a laser cut medical cross insignia unique to Blue Force Gear. An included blue insert gives a contrasting indication that it is a medical kit or the insert can be removed for a low profile, color matched insignia. Additional colored and glow in the dark inserts can be purchased seperately.
The TKN! - MEDIUM consists of two main components – the outer MOLLE medical pouch with Helium Whisper Attachment System and a removable inner supply shingle that securely contains the medical components. The outer pouch is slightly tapered to allow for secure retention and easy removal regardless of how fully loaded the inner shingle may be.

Lives up to its name
This pouch fills up quickly, but what space it has is used efficiently. Deployment is lightning fast and requires only gross motor skills to execute.

One handed use!
Pack works fantastic. I have it mounted on the lower back of my tac vest upside down. I can reach it with either hand and all I have to do is pull down. Inside I have a tourniquet, 4" Israeli bandage, small bag of celox, gloves, chem light, large kerlix pad (4.5" X 12'), small kerlix pad (2.25"X9') & a 5"X9" ab pad. It all fits with ease and lays out real nice when you pull it out to use. I was suprised by the amount of elastic bands & pockets inside the pack that help organize everything. Just got the first aid cross patch to stick on the the velcro that's on the pack so it looks like a real med pouch.

The Envy of My Platoon
I bought this pouch about a year ago and haven't even considered another IFAK since. I keep it on the left hip of my pistol belt and it stays out of the way and is comfortable to lean on in confined spaces, i.e. MRAP's, MATV's, etc.. I've never once had the pouch come open on me or had anything fall out and it fits absolutely everything I need to carry. I keep a nasopharyngeal airway kit, quikclot gauze, trauma shears, decompression needle, pill pack, tourniquet, H-bandage, chest seal, and Blue LED light (our down shooter signal) inside without any trouble. I also mounted a Benchmade Rescue Hook on the top molle webbing just in case. The kit pulls out easily and gives whoever is working on you a clear visual of where everything is in the kit without any trouble. This thing is quite literally a life saver.

It isn't what it used to be...
I've been eying this pouch for awhile and I have to say I'm disappointed with it. Even with a smaller 4" olaes bandage, it fills up quickly. The pouch for the rescue hook that is depicted in some of the old video reviews is gone. When packed up to capacity, the supply insert is difficult to remove from the pouch. Go with an Eagle next time around myself.

excellent piece of gear
This is one excellent piece of gear! I ended up stocking mine with a comprehensive list of supplies: 2 large gauzes, 35g pack of hemostatic granules, shears, rubber gloves, one long roll of gauze, large adhesive bandage, several smaller adhesive bandages, and one large FEB9 combat bandage (a finnish innovation; very effective combat bandage infused with a hemostatic agent. Fully usable with 1 hand. Acts in all capacities of: wound dressing, high pressure bandage and even as a tourniquet.) I mounted my Trauma Kit NOW! to the forward left section of my CIRAS where it's still usable by both hands immediately. Even with all of those medical supplies inside; it's still quite light and low profile, so it won't get in the way of reloading magazines or grabbing for tools with my left hand. It's a shame they don't seem to make one in the OD color: would get an additional piece for sure.

Blue Force Gear Trauma Kit
I mounted one of these med pouches center chest on my LBV, I wanted to be able to reach it with either hand and the way it fold's out on withdraw is excellent,, A well thought out perfect.....

BFG Trauma Now
I had a larger med kit on my body armor, but when I opened it, too many things just fell out. This solved the issue. It is very easy to access everything, and it's well constructed. My only negative comment is that I wish it were a little larger to accomodate bigger pre packaged bandages like Israeli's, and some of the longer angio cath's.

Med pouch review
This med pouch is a great piece of kit. I have been using it in Afghanistan. It takes a litlle more space on your kit that most. However, it is lower profile than most (less bulk). Also, the ease in which you can can retrive materials from it without spilling the entire contents cant be beat.
