Blue Force Gear Universal Wire Loop (UWL)

Now available in two lengths for even greater versatility! (3.25 and 6.25)

• Inner stainless steel aircraft cable withstands barrel heat
• Nylon coating on cable provides silent alternative to hooks
• Ambidextrous to the MAX!!
• Fits 1.25" to 1.50" webbing
• SUPER VERSATILE - Makes many sling connection problems "GO AWAY."
• UWL is designed for use on HK eyelets, AK, SIG, and SCAR connection points.
• The UWL does not wear on the eyelet as metal hooks will, due to the nylon coating.

The sling loop body is CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum billet before being tumbled and bead-blasted for a non-reflective surface. The loop is hard-coat anodized before the nylon coated stainless steel aircraft-grade cable is installed with MIL-SPEC Ball-shank ends. The result is a sling adapter with limitless uses. Cable outer coating may deform if subjected to extreme barrel heat but stainless core will not melt.

Life Time Warranty!

The UWL: Mount a Sling Anywhere, Without Rails.

Posted by Jeriah Hildwine on 14th Jun 2011

I wanted an economical way to mount my VTAC sling without a rail mount. I chose the longer size of the Blue Force Gear Universal Wire Loop (UWL). The UWL is a simple loop of plastic-coated steel cable, fitted with an aluminum block with a sling slot in it. You push the loop through your front sight block (or around anything else you like) and then feed the block through the loop. I took the carbine to a training course, running through 1,000 rounds in two days. The UWL functioned flawlessly. The sling stayed where I wanted it (right at 9:00) and functioned as intended. This is a solid piece of kit, much more affordable than the alternatives, lighter than any rail mount, rock solid and reliable. It's the epitome of Keeping It Simple, Stupid, and is ideal for any case where you don't want a railed fore-end.
