This pouch is made for STANAG magazines. "AR15 style magazines".
**AK magazines will NOT work in this pouch.**

Utilizing a hybrid kydex and nylon design ,you get all the rigidity you would expect from a kydex pouch and the lack of noise you want from a nylon pouch.
These pouches feature our kydex wedge insert (KYWI) that provide the needed retention to secure your magazines without the need for bungee cord for rapid mag changes.

Much like the pistol pouches. This is well made, has great mag retention but, mag is easily removed.

ESSTAC Mag Pouch
First, I'm not an operator, I purchased this for a rifle training class. I've got two mounted to my belt with 1" OneWrap, they hold magazines very securely and sit low enough so as not to interfere with a plate carrier.
