Great retention...too good...
I bought these after trying HSGI Tacos. While the Tacos are great, they don't subscribe to the KISS principal with their reliance on shock cord to stay together, and reinserting mags is awkward at best. Inserting mags into the KYWI requires a pretty good shove to get the mag past both bent sections of kydex. I carry on a belt, and retrieving the mag requires pulling up so hard that it ends up by my armpit before it lets go of the mag. I solved this by pulling out the inserts, and flattening one side with a heat gun. The bend on the other side still grabs the mag with authority, and still leaves a big opening. The flat side also gives the velcro a better surface to work with. I use Raven Moduloaders to secure the pouches to my belt. Malice clips work in a pinch but I wanted something that let me drop the pouch a bit for easier access. Being able to adjust the depth is a real plus.

Is there anything faster?
In my opinion arguably one of the better mag systems out there. Coupled with the KYWI it is a fantastic pouch that can be tailored by the end user to fit their requirements.

Kung Fu Grip!
This mag pouch has kung fu grip! The kydex KYWI insert and PMAGs are a match made in heaven. However, it's a little too strong with my metal mags. Hopefully it loosens up just a little with more use.

fits my battle belt perfectly- I like mags to ride high, with less protruding below.

Excellent Size, Shape, and Fit
Just the mag pouch that I was looking for. I thought the shorty may have been too 'short' but I think it is perfect. Just the right amount of retention. The malice clips work great too.
