Esstac M4 KYWI Triple Mag Pouch- SHORTY

Everybody needs at least one immediate reload pouch, and the ESSTAC M4 KYWI- SHORTY is at the top of its class. Measuring only 3.5" tall, the SHORTY leaves a ton of mag to grab while maintaining firm retention, making it ideal for your molle battle belt or plate carrier.

Add to that the fact that the ESSTAC KYWI series is fully depth adjustable, means you can increase the amount of magazine that is protected by the pouch.

The SHORTY can even handle your 20 round mags, and your SureFire 60's. NUFF SAID. Made in USA by the Camano Cave Man and his PacNW sewing crew.

Requires 4 short Malice Clips (not included).

    Great pouch for Magpul 10-rounders

Posted by straps on 12th Feb 2014

The Magpul PMAG 10 is the ugly reality for some people in some states. Hands down this is the best way to carry PMAG 10s, and the best way to maintain proficiency on your draw stroke if you go back to "real" mags in full-length shingles...

    Mag Pouch

I purchase these, and they were great for securely holding my magazines, but were simply too tight to easily do reloads. Took more that 20# of force to get the mag free.

    Great mag pouch

I was originally on the fence about the KYWI mag pouches, simply due to their price. $60+ to hold only three mags? Well after I bit the bullet and had the pouch in my possession, I realized how much they are worth it. You have immediate access to your magazines, without relying on bungie cord with say, the TACO pouches. The kydex retainers are very strong and hold the mags well in place and even take a bit of a pull to get a mag out, which I find is nice. The SHORTY edition of the pouch I think I would prefer over the regular, as it gives an extra inch or two of real estate to grab your mags when pulling them out. The only con I see is that ESSTAC doesn't have enough distributors and it seems as though it takes quite awhile for pouches to come into stock - not a knock on SKD at all, I'm glad they carry them.

    Awesome

I was concerned about the retention before ordering. After I received it and loaded it up I had a change of heart. These absolutely rock. Your mags will not come out from normal ground and pound. It allies you half of the mag to grab for quick reloads and the pouch is always open for tax reloads where you are reinserting a mag on the fly. IMHO that fact beats out the HSGI TACOs as far as running an M4/AR system. Also a cool feature is that you can use the MALICE Clips on MOLLE or you can run a gun belt through the clips which is not something I've done before but it works great with only a little play. Multi-cam pattern looks solid

    Exactly what I hoped

Posted by Unknown on 20th Nov 2013

I've been a regular user of a rhodi rig for my mags, plus a kydex single pouch as my ready mag. I was hesitant to try these as 8 years of one system is hard to step away from. But I could not be happier. My reloads are just as fast and I feel confident that my mags are not going to fall out in any way. I will be using these mag pouches for the foreseeable future.

    Pimpin' ain't easy

This thing is #OAF!!! I'm glad more companies are getting on board with the Kryptek pattern. The Kydex insert is a great idea and the fact that I can get my mitts around a large purchase of rifle mag real estate is value added exponentially. Running this piece in my Mayflower APC and loving it. Looking forward to more Kryptek from the mack-daddies at Esstac. Keepin' it real in Afghanistan. Semper Fi.

Excellent piece of kit. Good retention yet quick access to mags. Top notch material and workmansghip. Highly recommended for a plate carrier or chest rig.

    THE Perfect Mag Pouch

Posted by Milos on 16th Apr 2013

Although I thought these would be a little too short when I purchased them, I changed my mind immediately after I tried them out. They hold mags secure even after shaking them upside down violently. No way anything will fall out. The pouch leaves half of the 30rd mag exposed which gives enough space to grab one quick. You get what you pay for and these are a prime example.

    M4 Mag Pouch!

Posted by Pierre C. on 2nd Mar 2013

I was looking for a lower profile mag pouch for my p-mags because I use gripe tape on my mags to help with reloads. The KYWI short worked out great! No more open tops with buttons or shock cord to hold the mags down! The kydex holds them tight when on the move, crawling, or going prone your mags will still be there ! Also matches very will with my Shellback Tactical Banshee Rifle Plate Carrier in ranger green! Your mags are your lifeline so your gear should be up to the task as well !
