Esstac Pistol KYWI Double Mag Pouch

Based on the runaway success of the M4 KYWI line of pouches, ESSTAC is proud to introduce their new Pistol KYWI pouch line up for the discerning shooter.

Constructed of a double layer 1000D Cordura body and backing, the Pistol KYWI pouch is made to survive abrasion while the minimalist design keeps the weight to a minimum. Measuring 3.5" tall, the Pistol KYWI pouch allows for full depth adjustment so you can have most or almost none of your Double Stack pistol magazine sticking out beyond the top edge of the pouch.

Made to fit most common 9/40 double stack pistol magazines, the Pistol KYWI pouch will hold up to a Glock 21 magazine, but will NOT retain a single stack 1911 mag.

The Pistol KYWI pouch makes a great addition for Molle padded belts, and attaches via 2 Short Malice Clips (not included). These pouches retain your mags with authority yet release them lightning fast when grabbed. Made by the magical nylon and kydex fairies of Camano Island, WA, USA.

    Overall, the Pistol KYWI is pretty good. It retains the my M&P9 magazines quite well. Personally, the retention is a bit too tight (it should smooth out with use) and I don't find these as useful as HSGI Taco's (ie: I wish I could stuff a multitool/light/etc. in the KYWI sometimes). Build quality is par with EssTac: Bulletproof and exceptional.

    Fast reloads, good retention

    I have 2 Glock 30SF .45 mags in this thing. It fits tight, but can still reload effectively. The multi-cam is good on it. Fits good next to the Esstac M4 KYWI Double Mag Pouch I have on my HSGI Sure-Grip Padded Belt.

    It holds the Glock mags the best all the others are held in really tight so unless you plan on bunji jumping you dont really need that much mag retention.

    I thought they looked great but was turned off by the price and tried a variety of other items. After not being totally satisfied I bought some of the ESSTAC gear (M4, pistol, AR10 pouches) I wished I had bought these to start with. They are slick and low profile. Hold the mags great. I bought the shorty pouches and they hold tight. No need for a long pouch for security. These will not fall out. I had a love hate relationship with the malic clips but eventually got the hang of them. They allow the pouch to be very low profile. The construction is top notch. I went back and purchased a 2nd round after I received the first batch.
