Esstac Pistol KYWI Double Mag Pouch

Based on the runaway success of the M4 KYWI line of pouches, ESSTAC is proud to introduce their new Pistol KYWI pouch line up for the discerning shooter.

Constructed of a double layer 1000D Cordura body and backing, the Pistol KYWI pouch is made to survive abrasion while the minimalist design keeps the weight to a minimum. Measuring 3.5" tall, the Pistol KYWI pouch allows for full depth adjustment so you can have most or almost none of your Double Stack pistol magazine sticking out beyond the top edge of the pouch.

Made to fit most common 9/40 double stack pistol magazines, the Pistol KYWI pouch will hold up to a Glock 21 magazine, but will NOT retain a single stack 1911 mag.

The Pistol KYWI pouch makes a great addition for Molle padded belts, and attaches via 2 Short Malice Clips (not included). These pouches retain your mags with authority yet release them lightning fast when grabbed. Made by the magical nylon and kydex fairies of Camano Island, WA, USA.

    Nice pouch

The kydex retention is awesome. Mags insert and extract well also too. There's no shock-cord or flaps to worry about. Two thumbs up!

    Excellent Pistol Mag Pouch

Fits my HK45/P30/VP9 mags with no issues. Holds mags securely while staying easily accessible for a combat reload. These are my primary pistol mag pouches.

Low profile, light weight, and outstanding retention.

Very good. Might require a little tinkering.

I bought this pouch for use with my FNS magazines. It seems to work well, except for one thing. The little tab on the side of the magazines that lock the mag into the gun tend to make it a pain to reinsert the mags into the pouch. So I just took a needle file and made a little groove in the kywi kydex insert where the tab runs, and now it works like a charm.

    Love this product

Excellent product. Holds my CZ 75 9mm mag just fine. Was trying to squeeze in a 45... Had to try. Looks like I may have to get the tacos to fit those 45 mags of mine.

    Better then the Fastmag

Posted by SGT Dennis J Morida on 28th Sep 2014

This was mounted on my Crye Battle Belt for speed reloads. Pros: Low profile, smooth draw, great retention, simple, quiet compared to Fastmag when bumping and rubbing up against equipment and obstacles. Cons: Nothing

M&P and Glock mags fit snug. Easy to pull out but will not fall out when training.

    Excellent retention and quality

Posted by D. Cole on 30th Jul 2014

I have used several different mag pouches (from TACOS to FastMags) and I consider the Esstacs to be some of the best. They hold the pistol mags in more securely than the FastMags, in my opinion, and they look better with the Cordura fabric in the various patterns. These particular ones will hold most mags (except for the 1911) and they are easy to get out with little effort. I have to do tactical mag changes often, and these are perfect for that. The fact that they are adjustable is a bonus, but I found I didn't have to adjust them at all. The quality is exceptional, and you will not be disappointed with these should you chose to try them.
