Ferro Concepts - The Slickster
The newest generation of the Slickster has been designed as a multi-mission plate carrier for Law Enforcement and Military professionals. It is the base platform for our new ADAPT Carrier System and is scaleable and customizable with the continually expanding line of ADAPT accessories. From low visibility security and clandestine operations, to high threat direct action missions, the Slickster can easily and quickly be adapted to suit your requirements through the use of ADAPT accessories. Simple, low profile and thought out design. Everything you need, nothing you don't.
Features:
- Carry Elastic Cummerbund (CEC) that can accommodate 5.56 and 7.62 magazines, smoke, flashbang, radio, tourniquet and others (4 cells on each side). Adjustable with hook and loop front and rear.
- Loop on the chest and back allow for call-sign patches to be added.
- Laminated shoulder straps which are fully adjustable into the rear plate bag to fit all sizes. Loop on bottom of straps for comfort in low visibility and ADAPT shoulder pads.
- Laser cut slots on laminated chest to attach ADAPT flaps as well as most chest rigs using ITW QASM buckles (sold separately)
- Laser cut slots located at the bottom of front and rear plate bags to attach tourniquets and other accessories.
- Mesh lined plate bags to maximize comfort and breathability.
- Includes shoulder strap adjustment tool which, although not necessary for adjustment, helps aid in quick sizing.
- Weighing in at only 402g
- The Slickster fits SAPI, ESAPI, XSAPI, standalone level 4, swimmer cut and shooter cut armor plates. Chassis is sized by plate: (Medium plate = Medium Slickster) (10x12 Plate = Medium Slickster) Large Slickster Plate Pocket Max = 10.5"x13.5".
- Manufactured in the United States with USA mil-spec materials.

Awesome
My order arrived quickly and was exactly what I was looking for. SKD was the last place I could find stocking this item, and they have an exclusive colorway that is pretty cool (multicam black) SKD has all the innovative and tried and true gear. Nothing 2nd shelf which is awesome. It is very hard to find a retailer that has everything you're looking for and offers discounts as well. Now that I'm done fondling you guy's balls, can you untie me and let me out of this basement? Seriously though, if you ever just have that "I have to give that halfwit Jason some free shit" itch, just know I'm ready to scratch it!

So originally I received a different peace of gear and it just wasnÕt for me. I contacted SKD and they worked with me no questions asked. After speaking with an awesome customer service rep via email they dropped some serious knowledge that helped me decide on the slickster. IÕm really satisfied with this peace of kit and I paired it with a spiritus rig aswell.

Ferroconcepts slickster
Item was as advertised. One of the best lowprofile carriers for this price point. Had to make some modifications to the plate pockets to run the plates i wanted, how i wanted, but not a big deal. Quaility is ok for the price, however under the hard use i put my gear through the jury is still out on if it will hold up. The nylon they use is high denier, but i dont know if the padding they use on the side that contacts the body will not wear out. Overall i am happy with this carrier, and like this rig for the niche it fills in my kit. And skd tactile is a great company, with gear most other companies dont have in stock, at a price other companies simply cant beat. Would deffinitely go back to them.

Best Low-profile carrier made
Incredibly lightweight, brilliantly thought out, perfectly executed. The slots on the bottom of the front and back panels are perfect for attaching tourniquets. On a side note, if you have a first generation version without these attachment slots, just take your carrier to a seamstress and have two sets of "buttonholes" sewn in. Viola, tourniquets for days!
