Ferro Concepts - The Slickster
The newest generation of the Slickster has been designed as a multi-mission plate carrier for Law Enforcement and Military professionals. It is the base platform for our new ADAPT Carrier System and is scaleable and customizable with the continually expanding line of ADAPT accessories. From low visibility security and clandestine operations, to high threat direct action missions, the Slickster can easily and quickly be adapted to suit your requirements through the use of ADAPT accessories. Simple, low profile and thought out design. Everything you need, nothing you don't.
Features:
- Carry Elastic Cummerbund (CEC) that can accommodate 5.56 and 7.62 magazines, smoke, flashbang, radio, tourniquet and others (4 cells on each side). Adjustable with hook and loop front and rear.
- Loop on the chest and back allow for call-sign patches to be added.
- Laminated shoulder straps which are fully adjustable into the rear plate bag to fit all sizes. Loop on bottom of straps for comfort in low visibility and ADAPT shoulder pads.
- Laser cut slots on laminated chest to attach ADAPT flaps as well as most chest rigs using ITW QASM buckles (sold separately)
- Laser cut slots located at the bottom of front and rear plate bags to attach tourniquets and other accessories.
- Mesh lined plate bags to maximize comfort and breathability.
- Includes shoulder strap adjustment tool which, although not necessary for adjustment, helps aid in quick sizing.
- Weighing in at only 402g
- The Slickster fits SAPI, ESAPI, XSAPI, standalone level 4, swimmer cut and shooter cut armor plates. Chassis is sized by plate: (Medium plate = Medium Slickster) (10x12 Plate = Medium Slickster) Large Slickster Plate Pocket Max = 10.5"x13.5".
- Manufactured in the United States with USA mil-spec materials.

Great product, terrible name
With a name like slickster you imagine one of those dime-a-dozen, bags with plate shaped holes. This ain't that. These can go from super slick, With built in compartments for magazines, medical radios, or a full rig. Quality is superb.

Good carrier w/ good price, but you need to know
I love the carrier and I love the price but you will need to buy some extras. First you will need to buy the swift clips to attach most front panels onto the carrier, they are called ITW Nexus GT QASM and they are sold on skd. Next is unless you are running this covert under a jacket you will need to buy shoulder pads to keep the edges of the shoulder straps from causing discomfort plus they have to padding. But I love that I can put most chest rigs into the front. I fun the Haley Strategic D3CRM on mine. You can upgrade the back panel to a laser cut Molle back if you need that but it’s and extra $100.

Great plate carrier. I use it for a LEO critical incident kit. Stands up to daily use loading/unloading, training, and duty use. The elastic cummerbund makes it especially useful for throwing in over the soft armor LEOs wear.

Excellent and simple plate carrier
I love the Slickster. It is simple, well built, and well designed. The shoulder straps are non-overlap and tuck into the rear plate bag - super low profile. The plate bags are nicely shaped and the mesh is a nice addition. The stitching look great and mine has no imperfections after a thorough inspection. My 10x12 Ceramics fit with no problems. The loop on the front of the plate bag is high quality and my chest rigs, placards, etc mount solidly. As usual SKD shipped it quick and I barely waited a 3 days to receive it with standard shipping.

Super slim profile. Very minimalist and easy to attach various kit. Shoulder straps are slim and flat for less snag. Great piece of gear.
