Ferro Concepts - The Slickster
The newest generation of the Slickster has been designed as a multi-mission plate carrier for Law Enforcement and Military professionals. It is the base platform for our new ADAPT Carrier System and is scaleable and customizable with the continually expanding line of ADAPT accessories. From low visibility security and clandestine operations, to high threat direct action missions, the Slickster can easily and quickly be adapted to suit your requirements through the use of ADAPT accessories. Simple, low profile and thought out design. Everything you need, nothing you don't.
Features:
- Carry Elastic Cummerbund (CEC) that can accommodate 5.56 and 7.62 magazines, smoke, flashbang, radio, tourniquet and others (4 cells on each side). Adjustable with hook and loop front and rear.
- Loop on the chest and back allow for call-sign patches to be added.
- Laminated shoulder straps which are fully adjustable into the rear plate bag to fit all sizes. Loop on bottom of straps for comfort in low visibility and ADAPT shoulder pads.
- Laser cut slots on laminated chest to attach ADAPT flaps as well as most chest rigs using ITW QASM buckles (sold separately)
- Laser cut slots located at the bottom of front and rear plate bags to attach tourniquets and other accessories.
- Mesh lined plate bags to maximize comfort and breathability.
- Includes shoulder strap adjustment tool which, although not necessary for adjustment, helps aid in quick sizing.
- Weighing in at only 402g
- The Slickster fits SAPI, ESAPI, XSAPI, standalone level 4, swimmer cut and shooter cut armor plates. Chassis is sized by plate: (Medium plate = Medium Slickster) (10x12 Plate = Medium Slickster) Large Slickster Plate Pocket Max = 10.5"x13.5".
- Manufactured in the United States with USA mil-spec materials.

Slickster Plate Carrier - Coyote Brown
This is my third try at finding a PC that fills the most important categories for my needs... quality materials and construction, design and functionality, comfort and ease of use... and the Slickster by Ferro Concepts has met my expectations in each. Easily fits my ShotStop Ballistics Level III+ hard plates along with my Point Blank Level II dyneema soft panels as backers. Comfort is even better than the LBT-6094A that it replaced, I wear mine (with loadout) for multi-hour shifts (no shoulder pads) no problem. Quality is what we have come to expect from Ferro... and the Slickster is no exception. I also use the Ferro Turnover 3-mag shingle up front, along with the elastic slots in the cumberbund, and that provides plenty of cargo space for everything I need in a 'quick-don' situation (ammo, meds, comms)... the perfect mix of light and mobile, yet highly effective. Recommended.

Slick as snot!
I did a lot of research before buying this carrier. Its minimalist but packs a ton of features for the size and the cost! Fully adaptable so it wont get tossed in the old gear pile once the next big thing drops. Plenty of aftermarket available from shoulder pads to cable management. Ferro Concepts hit a home run with this one!

Great Minimalistic versatile carrier
I really like this plate carrier and I paired it with the MK4 placard which worked out great. One of the down sides to this carrier is the open back where the cumber-bun is just Velcroed to the back and can snag on things and become un-velcrod. The second is how dirty it can get with minimal use. I got a black one and it still shows wear and dirt pretty easy but all in all the functionality of this carrier is by far one of the best on the market for low pro work. Also you will need the actual swift clips in order for your placard to sit right and flush.

Good stuff if you know where to look
This site has quality items. Personally it was hard to find a plate carrier. I would Google it and would be provided a the link, however when trying to find it under brands or SKD exclusive the item was not there, seem like everything was with the multicam black items.

Great carrier
I had been doing some research on a good carrier that wasn't going to make me go completely broke or be too bulky. This plate carrier is great, slim fitting and I barely notice it when I wear it. The weight displacement is really nice. The cummerbun system on the sides is very well too, keeps your magazines and whatever else you carry, tight to your ribs and does not get in the way of your arm movement. I would recommend this carrier to anyone looking for a great minimalist style or even just a slim carrier. Also loved how fast SKD tactical shipped it and the customer service was great too.

very lightweight!
Very minimal shoulder straps. Wide enough to work but you can't load this PC with a bunch of crap. These are now shipping with "hypalon" D-handles on the new style cummerbund. Very comfy if you keep it slick!

Slickster Plate Carrier (Ranger Green)
Color is exactly what I wanted and was looking for, fitting it was simple, just waiting for plates to arrive to complete the package. Velcro-backed Ferro Concepts Turnover Triple 556 magazine pouch is perfect, I was worried it wouldn't be secured strongly enough, but I have no doubts it is more than enough to hold 3 full magazines and withstand the force of drawing one and remaining attached.
