Freewaters MultiCam Scamp Sandal, SKD Exclusive

by Joe
If you’re not a flip-flop guy, read no further. If you are into the flip-flop lifestyle, then say hello to the most comfortable pair you’ll own. We first contacted Freewaters for the fact that they had a licensed Thermarest footbed. We were subsequently sold on Freewaters not only for their high quality, but also their contributions to clean water for developing nations. Freewaters allows you be tacticool while helping mankind have access to clean water. View More SKD Staff Picks

Sure you can get Multicam on your combat boots and sneakers, but we all know that our favorite footwear is straight up flip-flops. Well we at SKD teamed up with the philanthropic folks at Freewaters and now you can rock Genuine Multicam on the most comfortable flip-flops you'll ever own- the Freewater Scamp!

What drew us to this sandal initially was the fact that it had its Ultra-comfortable footbed pattern licensed from Therm-a-Rest (TM). If you're like us, you owe much of your back health to the good folks at Therm-a-Rest, whether it be from fighting in the field, or backpacking for fun. Think the cushiony-yet-ventilating design akin to a Z Lite (TM) sleeping pad, but for specifically your feet!

While all Freewaters sandals are imported, our SKD Exclusive Multicam Scamp is made with Genuine, Made in USA, IR Compliant Multicam that we ship to their factory. You can get cheap flips flops anywhere, but in order to treat yourself right to some real comfort that is at home both at the Beach or around the FOB, you need to step into the Freewaters Multicam Scamp SON!

• Therm-a-Rest (TM) footbed for instant comfort- channels out water and air cools the foot.
• Genuine Made-in-USA, IR compliant Multicam material.
• Supportive yet natural arch support assembled with water based glue.
• Sponge rubber outsole provides grip and flexibility.
• Soft webbing toe strap keeps your in-between-the-toes area super comfy.
• Vegan friendly- no animal materials or by-products.
• Designed for heavy use in/around water.
• Ultra lightweight- packs easy for travel- weighs in at only 8.6 oz for size 8, and 11 oz for size 13.
• 1% of Freewaters’ sales go to well digging projects in impoverished countries with areas without access to fresh water.

The Freewaters MultiCam Scamp Sandal is now available in Men's sizes 7-14 US.

Only from SKD!

    Arch Support?

Nice sandals, just wish they didn't have the arch support.

    Multi-Cam flops

Posted by Michael Haynes on 23rd Mar 2017

As Asian, my SKD order was shipped quickly and arrived packaged perfectly. Overall the flops are great. My only comment is that they seemed to run a little narrow and hopefully they will stretch a little as I wear them.

    COMFY AND TACTI-COOL!

Posted by Sean Ash on 10th Jan 2017

I wear flip flops almost half the year here in sunny Southern Kalifornistan and own everything from Olukai's to Havianas. I was impressed with the Freewater's comfort and my wife and daughter think they look cool. The charity aspect is a nice touch. I would highly recommend the Freewater Scamps as a very cool looking pair of comfortable sandals

    So Cool

Bought myself and a buddy a pair of these. Both of us are big guys. These guys fit well and are very comfortable. First impressions are great, have to see how they hold up

    I love these but....

Posted by Kyle M on 27th Jul 2016

I'm on my second pair this summer and will need to order a third within a week or two. Last summer I used three pair. These flip flops look great and feel great but last for just a short while. For reference I'm 70" and 175 lbs.-- essentially the average American male. I walk 3-4 miles per day with my dogs and perhaps an additional mile during the rest of the day. At this rate, I typically develop a hole in the flip flops below the medial forefoot (great toe metatarsal phalangeal joint) bilaterally in just over a month of walking. For a week before this happens, the tread is so weak in this area that stepping on small pebbles is painful. I can't tell you whether these flip flops will be a good value for you, but I'm certainly happy to plop down nearly $120 per summer to wear these flip flops

    Multicam flip flops

Posted by Jeff Edmonds on 9th Jul 2016

The sandals arrived quickly and the transaction was smooth as always with SKD, unfortunately the sandals run small. I wear a 14 and the 14's are closer to a 12.5 - 13.

    Great flip flop

Posted by Justin Linville on 7th Jul 2016

There's are very well made and sturdy very comfortable but run a little small and they only come in whole sizes. If they had half sizes they would get 5 stars. I normally wear a 10-10.5 so I went with an 11 and my heel is almost off the back. No other issues really comfortable and well made. Love the multicam.

    My second pair

Posted by Stephen Fry on 7th Jul 2016

As you can see I am ordering my second pair. The first are about a year old and in Kryptek Typhoon. The Good: Comfortable, Rugged, Good Fit, All Day Comfort, Inexpensive, Camo, High Quality, Durable. The Bad: No Bottle Opener, Ha. Not a guide sandal, EDC Sandal. The Ugly: No Grippy Outsole for near river, kayaking. Not a Shower Shoe. Sell Out Quickly. SKD needs more sales per year. Will last EdC at least a Year! Otherwise cant really see anything wrong with them and dont have anything I would improve except maybe longer sole life.... You've got Thermarest, Crye Precison Camo, and Kryptek Camo what every current, and ex military, police, or tactical gear junky could wish for except maybe an ISIS hunting permit!
