HSGI Adjustable Shoulder Pads

I happen to wear my armor plates as additional weights for working out and these HSGI Shoulder Pads make my exercise routine much more tolerable to say the least. I can not say enough positive things about the quality, comfort or ease of application. Once again Thanks HSGI for another excellent investment.

Makes shoulder straps 100% better. Price is only drawback.

I bought this to replace the pads that came with my Mayflower APC. The Mayflower pads would leave me with sore traps and red dots on my skin. The other issue was that the pads were too small and would often shift forward or back off of my shoulders. These pads can be described as Dr. Sholls for your shoulders. They are made of a soft rubber material. They are larger than the original pads and definitely save your back on a long day. However they are not without fault. I'm not a big fan of the velcro attachment. I like the elastic band of the original pads better. I also liked that the original pads had a cover to go over your the bands and hydro line. these do not. Pros: Softer on shoulders Bigger surface area Pretty inexpensive Doesn't rub your neck raw Cons: Velcro attachment loops No cover flaps I would recommend these over the original APC pads.

Forgot to pick these up with the Pig Brig, a lot better!

This was my first piece of HSGI gear and I must say I am very impressed. I have my gun sling attached to my PC which made it dig into my shoulders after a few hours of wearing it. These pads help distribute the weight of my rig and provide a good cushion for being so thin. I like the rubberish layer on the bottom of the pads to prevent your gear for moving on your shoulders. Overall I am happy I got them.

Pros: Velcro straps accommodate a wider (3") shoulder strap which is already padded (GoRuck GR1 in my case), and the side that faces the wearer is a rubberized surface rather than more Cordura. Cons: The Velcro seems like it could detach without much effort (not a solid hook-loop attachment), and the tacky rubber underside makes it catch your clothing when you try to don and doff the pack.

PROs: -Very comfortable- I put this on my PIG PC and they fit perfectly and feel amazing. Especially since i have a lot of equipment strapped to my PC (PRC-117G, MBITR, TAC-ROVER, etc. etc) -Rubber grips to your shoulders, so it doesnt move around -Great materials used and very well put together. CONs -The rubber doesnt allow for any breathe-ability. I guess thats the trade off for the grip from the rubber. I can see this becoming a small issue when the hot summer months come. No big deal really. OVERALL: Awesome pair of shoulder pads. Goes great with my PIG PC, and ive also ordered a pair for the shoulder straps on my Eberlestock Fac track 3 day assault pack. Comfort is very important for extended operations, and these are a great addition to any plate carrier or ruck sack out there!

Nice and well designed when using them with the HSGI AO Small Chest Rig. Pads on the bottom gram the clothing and hold themselves into place. Nice not to have the straps dig into my traps.
