Its simple, well made, and holds what you need, and none of what you don't. I have in mine a package of quickclot, cavat bandage, tournquet, shears, strap cutter, and guaze packing. It goes with me every time I am out shooting.

    Just what I needed

The HSGI Bleeder/Blowout Pouch Modular is an excellent choice if you are looking to carry an IFAC using as little space as possible. The pouch holds what I consider to be the bare necessities (compression bandage, clotting agent, shears and a tourniquet) in a readilly accessible fashion. The pouch fits well on MOLLE belts and plate carriers where space is limited (the pouch is 2 columns wide and six rows high). Attachment was easily accomplished with the included Malice clips.

    Not quite big enough

Posted by Jason Curtice on 13th Feb 2010

I found this pouch a bit too small. I was hard pressed to cram a small personal first aid kit into it. The shears holster is a nice addition, but honestly you could just run them in the PALS behind any other pouch and use the saved space to make the pouch a bit bigger.

    Great Pouch

Ive had great sucess with this pouch, run mine with a pair of shears, a small quick clot, pressure gause, and a Tourney. Easy to get to the medicale gear even with major damaged thanks to the pull handle that drags out all of the gear.

Good Pouch, but a little too small

Posted by BL on 24th Jan 2010

This is a great pouch for bare bones medical gear, but is a little too small. I would like to see this be just a touch wide so it could hold more. I like the extra molle straps on the sides, and shear holder, which does expand some of the capacity. The pouch is well constructed and I really like the Malice clips it comes with. This is a great small pouch a range vest, where you could have a more advance medical kit nearby. I think this is too small for a LEO active shooter or SWAT vest, which is what I originally intended this pouch for.

Nice, and the shear holder is a nice feature. Not quite big enough to fit 2 compression bandages. Mine hold 1 bandage and 1 package of gauze.

    Great piece of gear

The HGSI Bleeder/Blowout pouch is a very well thought out piece of gear, perfectly sized for a small blowout pouch. Mine will fit Celox Gauze, a packet of Primed Gauze, an Oales bandage, and a card-wrap of duct tape, along with the shears and a SOF-T wrapped around the outside. Rapid access to the medical gear is easy when the pouch is mounted shears-down.

    Purpose built

This is meant for minimizing medical equipment. do not try and stuff your entire IFAK into it. It will not work. Would recommend using it for a pressure bandage and tourniquet.
