Believe it or not, SKD was present at the genesis of the Magpul Ranger Plate. During the first year the Magpul 556 was introduced, SKD personnel ran Magpuls at a 90 degree angle to the originally conceived installation method, which was highlighted in subsequent Magpul 556 instruction books. In later conversations, Magpul founder Rich Fitzpatrick shared with us that the "SKD method" of running the Magpul 556 was the inspiration behind the creation of the original PMAG ® Ranger Plate!

The Magpul PMAG Ranger Plate is a floorplate replacement for the 5.56x45 PMAG 30 AR/M4 GEN M2 MOE, PMAG 30G, and EMAG that incorporates an integral loop similar to the original Magpul USGI Ranger. When installed on the base of the magazine, the PMAG Ranger Plate provides unsurpassed speed and control during high stress, tactical magazine changes.

Easy to install. Makes magazine easy to grasp and identify by feel. Various colors can be used to visually identify magazines with differing bullet types or calibers.

Great service and site.
I ordered on a Saturday and had them by Tuesday. Quick and painless service as always from SKD. Easier install with these onto Pmags than install onto standard AR mags. That makes perfect sense, they are both made by Magpul. Allows for quicker and easier grab for reloading on the move. The angle of the floorplate allows for use of the Pmag as a "monopod" in situations when you'll be proned out and waiting. Highly recommended.

Ranger Plate order
Awesome product and service. Although it was not an issue for me I'm glad a checked the reviews to see that this item does not work on Gen 3 mags.........

Doesn't fit gen3 pmags. SKD should advise shoppers on tbe website. Love this product.

Magpul PMAG Ranger Plates
Excellent service with quick shippment and delivery. It was nice to have a normal price for item and not jacked up prices which are the norm recently. I will be back to SKD again in the future for additional purchases.
