Believe it or not, SKD was present at the genesis of the Magpul Ranger Plate. During the first year the Magpul 556 was introduced, SKD personnel ran Magpuls at a 90 degree angle to the originally conceived installation method, which was highlighted in subsequent Magpul 556 instruction books. In later conversations, Magpul founder Rich Fitzpatrick shared with us that the "SKD method" of running the Magpul 556 was the inspiration behind the creation of the original PMAG ® Ranger Plate!

The Magpul PMAG Ranger Plate is a floorplate replacement for the 5.56x45 PMAG 30 AR/M4 GEN M2 MOE, PMAG 30G, and EMAG that incorporates an integral loop similar to the original Magpul USGI Ranger. When installed on the base of the magazine, the PMAG Ranger Plate provides unsurpassed speed and control during high stress, tactical magazine changes.

Will never go back to regular floor plates
These products are as high quality as the PMAGS themselves and are essential if you do a significant amount of training or drills where mag changes (our of a mag carrier) are frequent and need to be done as quickly as possible. These range floor plates make it much easier to grab the mag, ensure it's seated in the weapon and protects that mags when they drop free (during a mag change)

Great quality. I have these on my standard mags as well as new Magpul mags I bought. Excellent for manipulation and control on reloads.

Great product.
I work for a police department, so I was able to build my own ar-15 for duty use. I love the ranger plates, make changing magazines so much quicker and easier. Wouldn't buy any brand besides magpul.

Better than the original ranger plates
I had the misfortune of putting Ranger Plates on a whole pile of USGI mags, and those plates are the only reason I'm still sentimental about those (relatively) crappy steel mags. Enter the PMAG Ranger Plate. Switching them around is a total breeze. Has a similar rubbery feeling to the originals, but now in fashion colors. It makes near perfect mags (no such animal) a bit closer to perfect.

Great upgrade
Got these in today. Easy install. I hadn't realized that the "hooks" have a little "sponginess" to them. That is a plus since they can absorb impact rather than break. These will make pulling mags out of my vest a lot easier.

Pmag ranger plate
Super easy install. Same soft tactile texture as the magpul USGI ranger plates. The have worked flawlessly for me so far, the only reason I gave them 4 stars is the price. Theses should sale for > 15 bucks. A nice upgade that is still worth the price ...I just feel it should be cheaper.
