If the Magpul PMAG® is near perfection, the the Magpul PMAG® Gen M3 just improved on it. Ever refining its designs, the team at Magpul has taken its time and combat tested PMAG® and broadened its compatibility across multiple weapons platforms, and increased the functionality of the user interface. Improvements to the material technology and manufacturing have increased the strength of the PMAG® Gen M3 and reduced the overal size, while maintaining its high degree of reliability.
Like the Magpul PMAG®, the PMAG® Gen M3 shares its stainless steel mag spring, 4 way anti-tilt/anti-bind follower, and continuous-curve geometry for rock solid feeding reliability for 5.56 and .223 rounds in all conditions. The lower profile ribs give the PMAG® Gen M3 a smaller overall size to make extraction out of double and triple magazine pouches easier. The aggressive front and rear texture give you all the grip you need in wet and gloved conditions, while the paint-dot matrix provides a clean means to label and id your magazines.
Compatibility has been increased to work with the following systems: the MR556A1, M27, SA-80, FN SCAR MK 16/16S, HK 416 among others. A redesigned bolt catch notch allows for positive engagement across different spec rifles, and an overtravel stop on the spine prevents over-insertion on compatible systems. The new slimmer floor-plate remains easy to disassemble while providing enough flare to grasp during aggressive mag removal. The impact/dust cover is included with the PMAG® Gen M3, making this the ultimate in PMAG® package with all the latest technologies and design.
