PIG Full Dexterity Tactical (FDT) Charlie - Women's Glove

PIG FDT Glove Sizing Chart

Ladies
- tired of wearing men's tactical gloves that aren't the right fit? If you’ve ever wanted something better… your wish is now reality. Over 2 years in the making, the PIG FDT-Charlie Glove (Patented) uses gender-specific patterns to bring the perfect tactical fit of the FDT-Alpha gloves to the female shooter or operator. The FDT-Charlie offers ground breaking dexterity while providing much needed protection from the rigors of tactical work.

Developed by a Rogers Shooting School“Advanced” graduate with over a decade of experience in instructing Military and Law Enforcement personnel, the FDT-Charlie Gloves were designed to minimize impact on the female shooter’s grip. Instead of following the tired old routine of reinventing the Aviator Flight Glove, or making a “cool-looking" glove with padding and layers in all the wrong places, the PIG design team partnered with a sports-glove industrial designer to ensure that all the sizing benchmarks for women's gloves were met while maintaining the functional tactical design features of the PIG FDT-Alpha glove.

Featuring several industry firsts, the FDT-Charlie allows unfettered access to all your firearms controls and manipulations, without the overwhelming bulk of unnecessary padding and layers. When it comes to gloves you can shoot with, contrary to most of the other tactical gloves on the market, less IS more… the less you feel your gloves, the better you can shoot with them. As with ALL PIG Full Dexterity Tactical Gloves manufactured after summer 2015, the trigger fingers and thumbs feature conductive material to work with your touchscreen devices.

FEATURES (* indicates industry firsts for a tactical glove):
  • *Conductive Thumb and Trigger Finger material - Maximum reliability for touch screen use without losing tactile dexterity.
  • *Single Layer Multi-Piece Palm - Designed specifically so that only one layer of material contacts your shooting grip.
  • *Sensitized and Isolated Trigger Finger - The thinnest available Clarino™ material available, only on the trigger finger for ultimate sensitivity.
  • *Selective Forschette Material - Inside forschettes are ventilated for maximum wicking. Outer forschettes are Clarino™ for durability.
  • *Low Profile Hook Closure - Reduces abrasion on clothing.
  • *Flex Joints - Enhanced flexibility and ventilation on each finger.
  • Bar-Tacked Para Cord Pull Loop... YES, BAR-TACKED..
  • Short Cuff - Lightweight comfort and convenience.
  • Micro Suede Nose Wipe - Fights against cold-weather drip.
  • Ventilation holes in Palms and Fingers - Increased wicking.
  • Isolated Edge Padding - Protection without compromising the shooting grip.
  • Wrap-Over Finger Tips - Provides additional comfort and protection for finger nails.
  • Stretch Ballistic Nylon 1000D Padded Knuckles - Stretch ballistic nylon reduces pressure on the seams, thin padding takes the edge off of impacts.
While the PIG FDT-Charlie Gloves will be some of the highest quality gloves you own, given the nature of the job we expect them to do, they are NOT designed to outlast the Apocalypse. We believe that the trade off in extreme dexterity and sensitivity for perceived durability is well worth it, and far better than the old-school “cut off the finger tips” or “go bare handed” solutions. At the end of the day, the PIG FDT-Charlie Gloves are a consumable product that will provide the user with the best tactile dexterity available in a tactical glove, and should be worn to destruction, then discarded and replaced. The selection of ultra sensitive materials and extremely tight seam tolerances mean that these gloves will eventually wear out, and there are no warranties implied.

Please try them on and inspect them thoroughly for fit and finish before removing from the hangtag, but be forewarned, you will not want to take them off. Priced competitively for the non-FR women's utility glove market, the PIG FDT-Charlies are the latest in a ground-breaking line of tactical gloves from PIG.

    Nothing but impressed

To say that the PIG FDT Charlie gloves have been the longest wearing, toughest, most dexterous pair of shooting gloves I’ve used would be an understatement, and I’ve gone through many brands trying to find the right pair that would meet my needs. I’ll keep recommending and purchasing these gloves for as long as SKD makes them. I’ve been using the same pair of PIG FDT Charlie Gloves for the last 2 years on the flat range and in the shoot house. I recently put 12,000 rounds through a rifle using these gloves exclusively. They provide enough protection from the heat of a rifle while maintaining the dexterity needed to shoot and manipulate a pistol. It was a great feeling knowing that I could confidently transition to a pistol without loss of accuracy while using gloves. My pair of gloves is the women’s sized PIG gloves and I can’t thank SKD enough for making a product that I can rely on and that actually fits my hand. SKD cares about their customers, all their customers!

Not Sure if They're Worth It

Posted by Patrick on 20th Jul 2018

I used these in a two day carbine course. The securing strap on the left wrist tore on the first day. To be fair I was tugging on it when I was straightening the glove, but I wasn't really applying that much force and a number of the stitches gave way. Enough stitches stayed on that it still functions, it just doesn't seem like the construction is particularly rugged. The holes in the fingers are great for ventilation and still being able to use your smart phone, but by the end of the second day the holes were starting to widen which makes me think they'll tear eventually. They do have a lot of dexterity, but to be honest unless you're using winter gloves I've never found tactical gloves to hinder shooting anyway. Gloves seem like a disposable item at the end of the day, and with the cost of these and the fact that they don't seem any more durable the question is why buy these when I can get two pairs of other gloves for the same cost (it's not like they're US made)?

    Stylish and functional ladies glove

Posted by Beth B on 27th Apr 2018

Size wise I was smack in middle of two sizes...went up, not down, to be safe. Gloves are like 2nd skin with some protection. And look very cool. Which is important to me at the Range ;)

Perfect fit! Unsure of the investment.

Posted by Stephanie on 3rd Dec 2017

Fit was perfect. Small hands, small gloves. Every feature was used and perfect. Spent 6 weeks in Inyo wilderness and wore them everyday. Seams undone and index fingers fell apart and gone by the end of the trip. I know it's a trade off fit for durability. $45/ just over a month, isn't worth it for me. I may try another pair and stick to simple, range (urban) uses and see how long they last. Bottom line: Excellent features, fit, and sensitivity. Weak durability.

    Nice Gloves!

Posted by R Skinner on 24th Nov 2017

The only reason I didn't give them five stars is because I haven't actually used them yet. Had to return my first pair, went by size chart but when I tried gloves on they were too tight. Konrad was awesome, return went very quickly and the size small fit great! Haven't used them for shooting yet, but they are nice tight fitting gloves! Will definitely order from SKD again!!
