PIG gRUNT Modular Pack [SYSTEMA]

NOTE ON SYSTEMA: All PIG items with "[SYSTEMA]" in the product title are related to the PIG Brig Plate Carrier and PIG Brig Chest Rig product family. Please refer to the product descriptions for how each respective SYSTEMA product relates to the product family.

The PIG gRUNT Modular Pack is sized for light and essential load carriage. The gRUNT is made to fit most Plate Carriers without excess length. The gRUNT features an inner hydration pouch with ambidextrous port, an outer zipper pouch, and a velcro-closure finger tip stash.

By merely adding the PIG MK-1 Shoulder Straps, the gRUNT also transforms into light day pack. For a complete ensemble, you can add the PIG AFC Pontoon Set for additional padding, and the PIG RUNT Frame Sheet for heavier items that need additional support. The Pontoons simply velcro onto the gRUNT, and the RUNT Frame Sheet stays secured in the hydration sleeve with a Velcro One-Wrap stay.

As part of the new [SYSTEMA] family of product, the gRUNT also integrates directly with the PIG BRIG CR (Chest Rig) via the PIG BRIG CR-LB (Load Bearing) Harness. Direct Molle interface is achieved via 2 Long and 2 Short Malice Clips, which are included.

PIG gRUNT Modular Pack Specs:

Designed in the St. Louis PIG LAB, the PIG gRUNT and all accessories are proudly MADE IN THE USA.

This is a great bag to carry needed items, and shoot off of.

    Awesome pack!

I've had backpacks in the past, and nothing comes close to this. Everything I need for going to the range (rifle stuff) fits, doesn't cause pointy ends into my back (pontoons!) and fits perfectly on my shoulders, unlike most backpacks that tend to want to slide off and say hi to the ground. The modified loops for the straps took a couple minutes to figure out, but after I saw how they worked (not like the video) it was a breeze to put it together. This thing made my year! (and yes, it's just a small-ish MOLLE pack :P) Adding some magazine pouches to the front would be the main thing to build this guy up. Maybe a first-aid pouch if there's one that fits. I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could.

    Very nice.

It's a cool little pack. The only issues I have with it are the very thin plastic tabs where the straps attach and the lack of included externals. It becomes expensive to get it up to a usable pack. The plastic is so thin it will break at some point and it is where the straps attach.

    Awesome item

Awesome carrying capacity. I use this for airsoft and it holds a 68ci carbon fiber tank and 2 liters of water (perfect setup for P* users) Can't complain about the construction either.

    PIG GMP

I was on the market for a pack to use on my APC and with my Mayflower UW, but most of the packs I was finding were only really optimized to work with one or the other. This one works great with both. It's big enough for essential supplies but small and wide enough to ride well on a plate carrier. And the exterior PALS can be used to scale it up a bit for longer stuff. The hydration sleeve and front pocket are also handy features absent from comparable small packs. Couldn't fit a 2L bladder in there unless I don't quite fill it all the way. Maybe some of the newer wider shorter bladders would work better. All and all great pack. I recommend the shoulder straps for increased flexibility.

    PIC Grunt Pack

This was a perfect piece of kit to add to my current plate carrier. It is compact, but allows for a hydration system and all my mission essential equipment. The keeps me from having to carriering a seperate pack. My only issue is, the color is alittle off from the standard Ranger Green equipment I have, however that is trivial in the grand scheme of things. Overall I am extremely impressed with this piece of kit.

    Modular Pack Excellence

Posted by AOS Gear on 24th Jun 2012

I use this pack for day hikes and I honestly can say this is the best backpack I have owned to date. It is well thought out design meant to only hold the essentials with plenty of molle space on the outside to attach additional pouches if needed. I purchased the 3 available accessories along with this pack, which I highly recommend you do as well. These make the pack extremely comfortable when the pack is loaded down. I have tested many packs before this one, and I can say that the PIG gRUNT is the way to go if you are looking for a day pack or an assault pack.

Outstanding addition to my PIG PC, not to big and not to small, just the right size for my hydration bladder and miscellaneous items I need to carry. Gave me the ability to get admin items and spare batteries etc. off my PC and in the pack. Great job on a great product!
