PIG Sternum Strap

Designed to work with PIG Mk-1 Shoulder Straps, the PIG Sternum Strap stabilizes and secures your PIG load when using the shoulder straps for extended distances. Featuring lightweight 3/4" webbing and hardware, the PIG Sternum Strap works in conjunction with the following PIG items when using Mk-1 Shoulder Straps:

  • PIG Hydration 2L
  • PIG Hydration 3L
  • PIG gRUNT
  • PIG gRUNT Large
  • PIG Armor Kit Bag (AKB)
  • PIG RUNT Pack 

Featuring an ITW Sternum Split bar, the PIG Sternum Strap will also work with any other shoulder straps that have open vertical 1" webbing.

    put this sternum strap on a GORUCK GR1 and did a GORUCK challenge. absolutely put this thing to the test and held up like a beast.

    Secures my chest rig

    I have a D3 Chest Rig from Haley Strategic. The rig is great but I needed a cross strap for the chest and the PIG sternum strap served this role perfectly. My Molle strap on the D3 rig runs horizontal (opening goes up and down) so I had to fashion a vertical strap to the molle, then the PIG strap could fit. If your molle runs vertical (opening runs horizontal) then the strap will fit without any modifications.

    Excellent quality, reasonably priced, durable and well designed- specifically for 1" shoulder strap webbing. Easy to install, makes my Marine Assault pack so much more comfortable and makes a HUGE difference when carrying a heavy load. Cheaper than a few inferior sternum straps I found locally. I imagine this strap will outlive me!

    This is an absolutely essential upgrade to the Mk.1 straps when used with the PIG gRUNT Modular Pack. It brings the whole thing together so it can't slip and slide around while you're running, jogging, hiding from bears, etc. Highly recommended if you have straps with a single MOLLE column (like the Mk.1). Somewhat tight the first time installing, but once you get the rotate/push/rotate down to have the web work with the slanted slots on the buckle, it'll be a breeze to install the other side. Totally worth it!

    This product is a necessary addition to the Mk-1 Should Straps. Prevents the PIG gRUNT Modular Pack from moving side to side when I am running. Highly recommended.
